4 years and still going strong. Peeled-off the factory-fitted Screen Protector today, replaced my battery a couple of months back, flashed Pixel Experience 12 ROM, and my phone is as good as new again!

Price and speed is what the One Plus 5T has over the S8, but the S8 has water resistance, wireless charging, and a better screen.

Alienated for Science sure that’s easy to say but harder to quantify. I suppose if you neglect iPhone resale value, Apple customer service and support, iPhones superior cameras and A11 Bionic chips, ip 67 rating, iPhones superior stereo speakers, imessaging, etc etc you could start to make a case for one plus being ‘better’. Having said that the price of the iPhones should come down because they are a little on the high side. But then you have the iPhone SE....

maurice agboga But that seems like a downgrade these days. If you need perfect Potrait mode pics, telephoto lens is a must. You also get 2X lossless optical zoom as a bonus

The Google pixel takes better portrait selfies. It still falls short on the rear.

Telephoto is not what makes portrait mode possible. Stereo depth from two different cameras allows the phone to tell how far away different things are and blur out the parts that are farther away than the subject. It doesn't matter if the second lens is telephoto or wide. Google does it with a single camera by using different pixels that are a fraction of a mm apart.

It should hold up similarly to the Pixel. Just to keep the price low, Oneplus doesn't bother with Ingress Protection testing. It costs money just to get that fancy number on your phone.
