@@simbad3311 buddy, the mohs scale test is for checking whether keys and coins would scratch your phone or not. The bend test is for occasions where you sit on your phone. All these tests are for a purpose except for the burn test that even Zack says serves no immediate purpose. These tests are necessary and help those who go beyond the basics to know about their phone. Imagine you bought this expensive one plus phien and then on one fine day, it snapped like a biscuit and your friend's age old samsung survived the same. How would you feel? I still remember the joy and excitement I had when I got my first OnePlus device, the 7 Pro as well; I eventually went to an S20 after that, then a S20 Ultra a little while later, but ended up going back to an 8 Pro. It felt familiar, and I really liked it, plus the camera was definitely an improvement over the 7 Pro and even the more expensive S20 Ultra. Just last month I made the move to a 9 Pro, and decided to keep OxygenOS on it just to give it a try, since I typically put a ROM on all of my devices when I can. When looking at what they did with the software in OxygenOS 12 and even 13, and how the 10 Pro is almost identical in spec to the 9 Pro, or how the 10T is just.. odd, it's a little disheartening. It's kinda funny, since history might repeat itself for me. I had 3 LG phones in a row in the past (G6, V30, V40) before switching brands. With me now going from the 7 Pro, a little sidetrack to an S20 and back to the 8 Pro and now 9 Pro, this might be the end of the road for me, and it'll be hard to figure out where I might go from here, if I even want to jump off of the 9 Pro, it's still pretty decent hardware too. It's just a shame that there isn't many brands to pick from anymore, aside from the new ones like Nothing who are region exclusive right now, or smaller brands that were genuinely interesting, before they got bitten by the crypto virus (aka OSOM.)

@@jaroslavmrazek5752 I usually switch after a year of use, sometimes a few months less or more, and I always stay a generation behind since it's typically cheaper and generally more stable, especially if they're physically broken and can be fixed easily, like a cracked back. Like with the 9 Pro I just got, I found it for $299 with a broken glass back, and I was able to get a different (matte) color for just $20. It honestly just keeps things interesting, being able to see what's new or different between brands and generations.
The fingerprint test is still good to have, it's nice to know what readers are forgiving to damaged prints. My finger prints can often get damaged when working or if I injure myself, so I always set multiple prints in the phone incase I can't use my main finger/thumb. It's also good to see phones that have faster readers. The back reader on my previous redmi note 8 was significantly faster and more forgiving than my current redmi note 11's power button reader and I find that irritating.

OnePlus is no longer the company it used to be, prices are now on par with other flagships with the same specs, there's nothing really unique about the company or the phone any longer, so why should choose OnePlus? I started out with the OnePlus X. Major reason was the impressive specifications at great price. Fell in love with it the moment moment I got it out of the box (still have the box, by the way) Sleek, beautiful screen, great specifications, amazing camera. I dropped it many times, without the screen ever cracking. (well until it finally did, after three years of constant, rough use) I used to be a real fanboy, used to love going on the forums, discussing the phone with others, asking questions and answering them.. After my OPX was finally put to rest, I bought THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PHONE I've ever seen. Indian variant of the OnePlus 7T. Still wonderful OS, great camera, top notch specs, mesmerizing body with those frosted panels, blazing fast phone wonderful touches here and there that truly made the phone a joy and delight to own. Such as the braided charging cable and the carbon fibre and alcantara case. I've been using my OP7T just as I used my previous phone, and still in love with it. But it's starting to show it's age: the battery dies faster, warp charging sometimes doesn't work, the camera is no longer as good as it used to be. I'll use it for as long as it lasts, probably even send it for servicing. But after that, I don't think I'm buying another phone from OnePlus. Each year, I've eagerly watched OnePlus launch events, hoping they do something good again. Each year I'm disappointed. Some of the reasons are: The first few batches of OnePlus 8 and 9 phones having display problems. OnePlus merging with Oppo. (Especially hate the merger of Oxygen OS and Colour OS. OP said that the OSS will be separate, but under a single dev team. Hah) Carl Pei leaving OnePlus. Prices matching other flagships. Nothing really unique. OnePlus was once a phone company with a niche following of tech nerds with tight pockets. Now it's a phone company that wants to cater to everyone. That might be in the company's best interests, but OnePlus and many of its long-term costumers don't align with each other. Thank you for everything so far, OnePlus. Thank you for two great phones, 6 years of great memories. I'll be looking at Samsung for my next phone.

Also, I love 120 Hz or more for my desktop and television, but my phone really doesn't need anything more than 60. Scrolling social media will still be misery regardless of the framerate.

That and refresh rates no higher than 90.
Hey Jerry! Still waiting for a durability test/teardown of the Zenfone 9.
I really like everything you show. I'd be very happy if you would share a review of Motorola edge 30 pro.
Ouch that hurts. I always look at his review before considering buying a phone

If that's the case I guarantee he is not bending his own phone like this 🤣
Hope to see OnePlus comeback with new ideas and solutions.

I've been waiting for that to replace my Oneplus 5 for the past 2-3 years, but they are only getting worse...
Durability test AND a teardown in one video? You spoiling us mate 😜😂
Hey I miss your electric hummer videos. Any updates?
My first smart phone was a OnePlus One and I loved it. I've never had another one until now. I finally retired my LG v40 and picked up a Nord N10 as a free temp phone till I can get a Pixel 6 or 7, but to be honest, this is a surprisingly nice phone for free from Metro by Tmobile. Frankly, it's as good in almost every way as my V40 was. Surprisingly good camera, 2 day battery(my v40 was down to much less than a day), great dual speakers, nice bright 90 Hz screen and the same size as my v40, 6.5 inches.
I would love to see you do drop test and water resistant tests. I know that would result in a hot more damage to the phones, but most of these companies would probably be willing to give you an extra one..
That's why samsung s21 lineup made the frame one with the camera housing so that it is durable.
You monster! That sound at 2:15 made almost fall out of my seat! :D
This is exactly what I'd like to do to my phone when it says it has 5 bars of 5g but no internet connection.
1:52 my disappointment is imeasurable
That bend is probably good. Better to bend there than across the battery!
Wow! Jerry created new OnePlus 10T Fold. Congratulations Btw Love your videos ❤️
the bending test looks like my uncle trying to open his phone to remove the battery, even if the phone does not have a removable battery he think that it does, so he just procede "opening" the phone
One plus are efficient at least, they allow you to combine the durability test and teardown in one go!
I must say the screen bending like that is kinda cool
Hey Jerry could you do the s21 fe durability test I always wanted to see how this "Fe" line does in terms of durability for being an accessible top
