This arrangement of One-Winged Angel was developed over about 10 years. Back in high school around 2008-2009, a really great friend of mine introduced me to Final Fantasy VII Advent Children and I loved the orchestral metal soundtrack for the showdown with Sephiroth. I listened to all the versions of One-Winged Angel I could find and started to adapt my own piano version, playing it for my friends too. There's even an old video on my personal channel that I recorded on my acoustic piano: kzread.info/dash/bejne/q6eF26OikcquiqQ.html Anyway, the version in this video takes what I liked about my old version but updated to match what I wanted to incorporate after all this time. That means: Original PS1 version, Advent Children metal version, orchestral version, and Piano Collections. Plus my old interpretation plus 10 years of mulling over exactly what I wanted in here. As I was listening to this, I noticed that the video length was uncharacteristically long for what I thought was just a transcription of the original One Winged Angel theme, and I wondered what kind of change would warrant the extra runtime. I honestly cannot stress how long I've wanted a proper piano transcription of FFVIIAC's rendition of One Winged Angel. So imagine my surprise when the transition to the metal portion of AC's rendition started playing. This has to be the best arrangement of the theme I've heard yet, and the fact that it's been a decade in the making is absolutely mind blowing. I hope that if and when you guys make adaptations of the new music in the remake, that they'll be half as good as what's been presented today

I have heard other piano Renditions of One Winged Angel and they definitely do not stand a chance against your rendition. It's the most complete version I've heard. I can almost hear the rest of the background music along with the subtle bass lines that are in the original and even the Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children movie. Well done my man oh, well done!

Smash is one of those games where we can make Steve from Minecraft fight Sans from Undertale in the Mushroom Kingdom from the Mario Series while One-Winged Angel from Final Fantasy VII is playing in the background. At this point it sounds like an acid dream

Geeebus this was great! Things like the Sephiroth theme are so well rounded that each and every instrument can get the correct feelings of emergency that the original composition brought out in players at that stage in the game so this was not only a great video but the nostalgia hit hard too

God I fucking love this song so much. What an absolute masterpiece and a wonderful performance of it! Sephiroth is one of the best boss fights in actually quite few games! Obviously mega iconic as a Final Fantasy villain, but his Kingdom Hearts fights also kinda just slap as hard as his theme song. Great job :)
