One Vision is a good breath of fresh air what with all the Kane’s Wrath that’s already out there. Though it would be nice if the players in this tournament would actually change up their factions. But I must say that this has still been my favorite casts so far, the variety is amazing.

Mantis is more like a seeker, though it has been nerfed a bit as it was overpowered at one point.

Absolutely would love to see more One Vision, was beyond surprised that Reaper didn't make an appearance considering how strong and unique they are with their mutation mechanics.

I think Default scrin's upgraded seekers and tripods and traveler-59's elite fast infantry do alot better though when it comes to mass engagements, for reaper-17 you have to individually upgrade every unit and it can get very troublesome when you have alot of units

Dairedo is a very entertaining player to watch

I love one vision, it makes all the factions much more unique, but the nerfs aren't so extreme. Like the Black Hand doesn't have stealth, but their harvesters and stealth tank equivalent have something like adaptive armor. They don't have dozer blades and laser capacitors, but they have faster reload and slight fire damage on their scorpion tanks. Steel Talons actually has infantry, though it's still nothing compared to their armor.

ooooh, the finals were pretty interesting, felt like the players knew exactly what they were doing. not all the tech was showcased, sadly, but that's fine. also, was really hoping that one MoK game would go on for longer since they got the biggest and most interesting changes around. well, maybe besides Scrin's Reaper subfaction.

Quick question regarding the last game of the bronze match. Does an MCV still count as a structure you have when it's packed up? If so then Lamas' flame tanks he snuck were doomed to fail since they couldn't shoot Warmonk's flying SCV.

MCV has always been considered as a structure unit, even if its packed. Its why the base race strategy is effective as long as you can keep your MCV moving while crushing your opponent's base

I really don't get why Lumos plays as Black Hand. From what I've seen, his best performances have been with GDI factions. I'm not usually someone who likes mods, as many of them seem to lack polish. However One Vision seems to show restraint, by not throwing in everything but the kitchen sink, while also making each faction more defined. It feels like an expansion instead of a mod.

Ayy finals of the tournament are out. Hope some of those new air units are used in this

I think it would be great to see how the meta better plays out for this mod, as there were alot of interesting features the mod showcase video featured that didn't seem to be demonstrated in a competitive light. While the developer attempted to make this a competitive focused mod/update, this tournament didn't do a good job highlighting how players have a diverse range of options for both plans of attack and options for response. Maybe that's just the curse of balancing a multi-faction multi-player game, but it did kind of feel like tank spam was the optimal win condition...

The meta for this mod is still establishing as there is only a handful of players that play this mod actively outside of tournaments. I was not surprised that tank spam was the go-to meta for a few of the players as that is their comfort from 1.02+. As more tournaments are hosted and more games played we should see the meta shift away from tank spam hopefully. Especially when players learn the altered counter system.

@@Phantom-9399 That makes sense then, as it's common for players to migrate thought processes or default to "tried and true" play styles in a new environment, without giving much consideration to the changes and nuances.

Dareido felt like a glass cannon, and in some cases I even felt like he was throwing bc he stagnated on techs and didn´t make any use or the superior Scrin carriers. Lamas´ Scorp-Buggy spam strategy got very old very fast, and I felt like he was failing to properly adapt to himself being countered (by trying to build at least a single artillery unit to fight the swells of Scrin). Most possibly, the players´ lack of experience with the mod makes them meta slaves.

You need to remember this is the first time a lot of these players have played this mod so they will go back to comfort builds from 1.02+. As more tournaments happen and as they get used to the new units + counters the meta will evolve.

Dairedo’s strategy were elaborate and pretty good but too bad Lumos’ strategy is just: “I am a hammer and you are a nail”

Seemed like some players this tournament tried go continue playing like kanes wrath, also Dairedo seemed to always either make way to many seeker tanks and never tech up or build nothing and tech up having no army

I don't get why they're using reverse move on some cases when traveling long distance with no enemy in close distance, doesn't reverse move is slower than normal move?

I think the disintergrators look silly with the weapon attached to their foreheads, i think they should be modded to have dual wielding disintergrator rays attached to the sides, i honestly think they would look much cooler and menacing and less goofy looking.

On one end I love the variety added by the mod and the fact it's not a BikeRushOwnz will win tournament, on the other, the balance seems pretty bad and I hate how Lamas always played Black Hand for the entire last two rounds...

Honestly my biggest gripe with the mod is how many “new” units are just re-colors of old units, and how some decisions don’t make much sense logically. Like, it’s kind of underwhelming to have a buggy that has a flamethrower yet can’t kill structures or garrisoned units effectively

well, the Black Hand did get defeatead in the end. the player abused the tank spam while it worked, but couldn't adapt when their opponent figured out how to deal with it. seems fine to me. not the best mod showcase, but a reasonable conclusion of the bronze series IMO.

@@soulgamer612 Filthy has a limited pool of assets to use so he is limited in what he can do at this point in time. If he can get some new assets/models that fit the KW theme then he will happily replace the double ups.

@@violetnred It's pretty logical that little high-range flamethrower on buggy cant clear garrison. What is not logical is when single squadmember of black hand or grenadier clears out garrisons like flametank.

Is OneVision going to be replacing regular Kane's Wrath content? I appreciate the mod, but it'd be a shame if Kane's Wrath replays went away

Nope, no plans to replace KW right now. I’m hoping to revisit One Vision in the future, but it’s not replacing KW

what do you mean? the players simply chose to not build them. there are plenty. there's a small mod showcase video on this same channel, it shows "vanilla" factions from the mod, some have new aircrafts.

The Messenger-8 Tripods can one shot most infantry, once they're upgraded. Seems kind of busted to me.

Not really, compare it to railgun upgrades on a mammoth tank, which also one shots most infantry, nothing busted about that, its just an awesome late game upgrade for your tech 3 unit For Nod or its subfaction (I can't remember which), the avatar/purifier also has some upgrades for it's laser

Fair point, but I think tripods also attack faster. At least in One Vision.

It'll be cool if scorpion tanks gets 1 last upgrade of getting pincers at the front allowing them to grab vehicles for a few seconds. U know like real scorpions with their massive pincers 😂 👍

oof ouch. CNC4 has that. the tank looks super silly. and it burrows too somehow! it's main feature there is that it can abduct and disable units with it's pincers.

Lamas has proven to be a good player, yet going man spam against 2 hard counters versus GDI. Seems like he just wanted to throw the game to make it ''extra'' close for the finals. Silly game that was.

does casting take skill in cnc? because you have to omit small details or idle things as much as while you're playing. if you can cast an intense game abd not miss out Major events, you can probably play it too
