He got passed the ball in the corner. One man ran out of bounds and brought his defender with him. Now it 2 mean basically guarding the man on the block he wanted him to kick it in to.

He is right 100%!!! Momentum is SO HUGE in basketball!!! You can demoralize a team in a matter of minutes by going on a 10 - 0 or 14 - 2 run!!! The other team will start to doubt itself, and now you are in their heads!!! When you're hot, you go, go, go!!!!!!!!!

It’s momentum, but its also understanding situational basketball and how crucial every decision is and the steps leading to it

A lot of people think he is talking to guy in corner. Coach is talking to pg who waited to long to pass then ran out of bounds. Coach wanted him to pass to corner sooner or commit inside.

That’s the PG fault, he literally took himself out of the play. Now it’s 4 on 5 if he throws that in turnover promise

That shots going up! Good Chest pass, defender didn’t even have his hips in his direction, as he was defending the drive.

why did #2 not go through? why is he standing out of bounds? he basically has the offense playing 4 on 5. if the on ball defender cut off the sideline, he now has to make a difficult pass to avoid being trapped in the corner.

Cause ball handler was supposed to dribble up allow the out of bounds player to take their spot

He should have pulled it. Post had good position, weak side wing had a crashing lane, he was in position to sprint back in case he missed.

There was nothing there if he didn’t want the shot. Every play doesn’t have to happen at a certain pace to maintain momentum

I agree, one player was moving out of bounds and the other player in the post was being double teamed. He should of taken the shot or held the ball as he did.

@@themeljones5501he just made 2-3 plays in a row. He got the ball. He might’ve felt too tired to shoot. The man who threw him the ball was tired and stopped, leaving extra commotion in the area. He calmly assessed and regrouped. I can’t find the criticism in going to the next action.

The player who dropped the ball off defender was waiting to double the post. He should have drove to the paint and made the post defender and that second defender commit to help. The drop off guy should have faded to the corner for a 3. Post man stays put for a drop off or rebound.

EXACTLY!! He was just waiting for him to see what he did. The defense was OBVIOUSLY confused and 2nd guessing!

So for the so call basketball players watch the clip closely the coach is talking to the guy that ran out of bounds the guy in the post had his guy under the basket kinda sealed and had the guy on the wing that's the kicked in post ahead guy on the wing

Or he kills that momentum they had. Missed shot ling rebound now the other team gets a fast break dunk. Or turnover. Yo have the momentum take it out run your offense momentum still on your side

I mean cool but, the pg never turned back to the court, the 3 doesn't seem to be there and the big guy now has two guys cutting the pass and ready to double team. I was taught that is better tu run down the clock than a turnover.

"He shouldve..." - 95% of comments. Which is the going rate nowadays. 95% of mfs just wana tell you they know better. Which is usually a 99% indicator you are dealing with someone who literally lies in comments all day long. For the record. The other 5% of us dont see these videos as a test to show everyone how smart we wish we were. It is information going IN. This was a demonstration of coaching, good coaching. Confrontational yet constructive. Reinforced his player by praising his good work, then correctly called out his indicisiveness in order to help him improve. Now prove you can learn too. Step one: resist the urge to retort. Or go for it. May aswell get 95% tatooed on your forehead.

I feel like he's talking to number 2 or at least he should be. He's the one that could've kicked it ahead or inside and he could have stayed outside beyond the arc...instead he gives the ball up in the corner and runs way out of bounds .

It’s a teaching moment, but if you stop video right after 20 catches the ball in the corner, you can plainly see that he CANNOT go inside with that pass. There’s three guys on defense between him and the guy in the post. One of his guys is off the floor, that leaves two offense vs two defense. 20 WAS decisive, and his decision led to:… saving a turnover, which gave them a chance to still get 6 in a row if the coach didn’t stop gameplay. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Killed it and gave d a breather... Very annoying from an offensive perspective! Guys don't waste your teammates offensive efforts and on d for that matter. Help the helper in an infinite regression fashion.

Fast forward to present day and kay Felder would get chewed out for not shooting that 3 lol. Their blaming the pg but their leading scorer passed up an open 3 ball from the corner.

He could have shot it he was wide open, the defender wasn't expecting the shot, and then the other guy was standing out of bounds

It's was legit nothing there tho

Lol how was he gone throw it inside when the guy that cut brought his man to the big man 😂 easy steal . All he did was slow it up and was gone throw it to the top to run offense . 😴

Obviously that is not how their coach wants them to play. He had a shot, he could have kicked it up top, he could have skipped it across… instead he chose to WALK it back out and let the defense set. It’s apparent that the coach wants them to play uptempo.
