This Final Four was the first time I ever watched One Shining Moment, totally lost it. Never fails to make me tear up after every NCAA Tourney. Also, this I believe was the last Final Four with the Full CBS Credits, if I can recall.

They did the full CBS credits with Golden Street Prelude in 2003 with Luther Vandross which was the last time they played Golden Street with the full credits.

Go Terps it sucks that Gary is gone but they r a championship team every year in every sport. Thumbs Up if u agree!

this is special for me being a terps fans it was a long time coming

Even as a die hard Hoyas fan, my all time favorite player was the late, great, Len Bias. I was happy when the Terps finally brought this title home.

Every now and again, when I need a boost, I love to watch this, all these years later.

Song should've been renamed "Juan Shining Moment" just for 2002 because of Juan Dixon's stellar tourney play that year.

Maryland had a great team that year. I remember they beat the UK Wildcats convincingly in the Sweet Sixteen.

Maryland beat four straight college basketball bluebloods (Kentucky, UConn, Kansas and Indiana) to get this title.

Go Terps! Loved this team.

Actually it was 5 (Including Wisconsin who also won a National Title). The only school ever to defeat 5 former champions to win their 1st title.

Kent State's run to the Elite 8! Amazing. Hope my now alma mater can do that again sometime soon! Lets GO KENT!

Ball State guy here and my Cardinals were loaded that yr. We had that great run in Maui beating #3 Kansas, #4 UCLA, & nearly #1 Duke. We then went to your house and you all were the real deal. I wish yall would've beat IU.

Shit this brings back some wonderful memories. This is what happens when a team has dedication/heart and a little bit of luck. Hope the terps get back to the ship someday. But looks like it will be a while for that to happen. Still enjoy watching terps play tho. Go maryland!!!!

I dropped a few tears watching this video...I love my Terrapins! I can't wait until Mark Turgeon leads us to glory again!!! Go Terps!!!

I was on a Mormon mission in 2002 so I couldn't watch basketball but I love the Terps, I wish they'd win one so I can see it :), I believe :) I also miss Gary Williams though :(

This was the last One Shining Moment I’ve ever watched. Way back then, I swore I’d never watch another one until Indiana had #6. Now 22 years later…..yeah, a bit longer than I expected.
