One Question You Should Always Ask An Unbeliever.

“People almost invariably arrive at their beliefs not on the basis of proof but on the basis of what they find attractive.”

To answer the question to this buffoon. Even if god was real we atheist on the grounds of morality we cannot praise a god that allows so much suffering for no reason other than I say so. We are just stardust that came to be by mere coincidence and the fact that we have a conscience has nothing to do with religion. Apes are not religious yet they care for each other; same as wolfs, dolphins and many other species. We are not special we are just lucky that the right chemicals and rights conditions happen on this floating rock and life thrive.

I was an atheist until a little over two years ago. My wife was a Christian and she prayed for God to bless us. He chose to start a work in me. I went through some intense spiritual warfare. A demonic spirit entered into me, and at that precise moment the tablet gets a notification that read, "YOU SEE WHATEVER YOU CHOOSE TO SEE". When i put my hands on the bible the feeling in my head would switch to the other side, whenever I would switch hands. The demon left me and i recovered. I'm now a passionate Christian, and i love God more than I ever thought possible. Atheists are in for a huge surprise. I have so much compassion for them, without Jesus Christ to pay for their sins, they will pay them in hell forever. Its so sad!

I knew i was born again that time. So much grace that I could not boast. All praises and Glory to God. Thank you Jesus!

@@TheTruthKiwi God encountered me. He revealed that He is real in a supernatural way. I experienced God. I was at the beach looking at the ocean, the stars, the moon, and feeling the wind in my skin and coming from an atheist just out of nowhere i said in my mind "You make things beautiful", then i experienced things i did not understand and made sense of until i read the Bible. Biblical truths i experienced not knowing they were i the Bible. I felt this powerful presence and it was Joy like no other joy in this world, Love like no other Love in this world, peace and satisfaction that i did not want to leave that presence. i n fact I just wanted to be there and not comeback anymore. I was baptized in water and in Spirit. I felt deep remorse of the way I lived and was really sorry sobbing and crying of every sin that came into my mind and as I was repenting I could hear a multitude of people around me just watching me and empathizing and agreeing as i felt remorse. It seemed like I was a spectacle in the middle of a crowd that time and they were rejoicing. I only understood the full meaning of this when i read that there is great joy in heaven when one sinner repents. Despite the beach being pitch black, I could see clearly as if there is a great light that illuminates everything. After that its as if i was lifted up like you lift up a cat on its nape. and the crooked lines in my brain where being straightened and now i could see and think clearly. I knew then and was so suprised that it was Jesus all along.I waslike so you were God all this time? it was You?Its hard to explain and you just would know as if it were revealed to you supernaturally. I was tested immediately and they were saying its all just my imagination. and said without a shadow of a doubtthat i knewehat i saw and you cant take that away from me. and He was holding me down saying thats enough its just all an illusion and with all my might, force and strength i wrestled and i shouted with all effort. and again i understood that more clearly when i read about Jacob wrestling with God. Its hard to explain as Jesus did say that you cant explain how people are born of the Spirit. Thats just a part of what happened that time at the beach and i tell you that even after that, there is more evidence of His existence as He continually teaches and walks with me through this life. One thing is for sure Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords. I hope you believe too. There is no other worthy Way to Live.

@@TheTruthKiwi i understand your question, actually my brother had the same question when i first told him about it. it is not a delusion since there is confirmation of the experience within the Bible. I am not crazy and completely sober. My life has drastically changed for the better. Its the result or the fruit of it that confirms it to be true and is a better way to life. If a doctor tells you "this is the medicine for your condition" based on his experience, would it be rationale to believe him? Not all who come to Christ have the same exact experience but many (if you search testimonies especially Jews and Muslims) of those who believe have at some instance a turning point. It is a personal encounter with the Living God. He says in His word "If you seek Me with all your heart, you will find Me". It is a matter and condition of your heart, to really wanna know the truth or just to reject it. He has a way of making it so real and undeniable to you in the most unique and personal way that you may best understand Him. I hope you are seeking to believe. It is definitely worth it all. been there, Frank. I accepted Jesus as my saviour about a year ago. When I look back, I remember, I think what held me back from following Jesus the most was my pride and unwillingness to be held accountable. It didn't matter what evidence anyone would've presented to me... It's so much easier and more convenient to remain an atheist as you can come up with your own rules, and play as you wish, which seems like the ultimate freedom (it's not). With that being said, nothing has filled me with so much peace, confidence and consistent state of 'high' (sorry, don't know the right word for it - English is my third language) than seeking relationships with my heavenly Father. Thanks for the work you're doing. God bless, Frank.

In my oppinion you often need to be wary of subtle goalshifts and definition shifts in these kind of videos. In this case it depends on how you would define a Christian.... Because there is still a big difference between accepting something is real and worshipping or praising it. So in this case if I as an atheïst where shown conclusive evidence that without a doubt would prove the Christian/Judean god is real, as are all the claims about him, it would be an automatic reaction that I accept him as real, because that is what it means to be convinced. Yet whether I would find God worthy of praise and worship, that is an entirely different question... On a side note, the whole "morally accountable" argument (for me) falls appart on its own... Choosing a reality to believe in to avoid consequences is almost paradoxal. It would be the same as sitting on a beach and seeing a gigantic tsunamy heading your way and choosing not to believe in it to avoid drowning... which to me seem nonsensical. But that is what many theïsts (like mr. Graig here) are claiming atheïsts are doing. Apparently we deep down either believe or know God is real, but that our atheïsm is a kind of rebellion against God. It would be the equivalent of me saying that all Christians deep down really believe/know God doesn't exists, but they are intentionally deluding themself because it is a very comforting, pleasant and reassuring idea...Which to me would seem a quite arrogant and a bit insulting thing to say.

At around the age of 45 We changed churches and within a very short time The holy spirit fulfilled his promise to me and I became aware of the truth of the Gospel and believed it for myself. I cannot explain it other than to say that it was as if my eyes were opened as never before. I am now more certain that I am saved than sure that I shall awake tomorrow morning, and I know in my heart that this certainty has nothing to do with me because If it were left up to me I would still be struggling with doubt.

Truth is humans have a prideful nature, that prevents us from submitting to anything. If the internet wasn’t included in a cell phone package that you paid for, if it cost $100 extra, plus routine maintenance and upkeep from us on a DAILY basis, including troubleshooting and diagnostic checks, I doubt it would have developed the dependency in our lives that it’s developed. We invest out time into things that are served to us ready to go. Developing a life around Faith in God TAKES TIME..it doesn’t work quick enough for a majority of society. We live in a NOW NOW NOW society. True Faith requires a life time of obedience, strength, mental perseverance, physical perseverance, and emotional stability. And I don’t say that to place a person that believes in God above ANYONE, I say it as a man that has failed at times in each category I listed. Truth is FAITH TAKES TIME, not everyone is WILLING to invest their own time. That’s our free will, the Bible speaks of. Hope this helped in some way God bless, peace be with you out in the world.

I'm guessing you mean the Bible, though perhaps you mean Dr. Turek's book (which affirms the Bible as true). . So are you a Christian or not? . If yes, then there's a lot to unpack here and we can have a fruitful discussion. In fact, we can probably come to terms with many of the questions you mention about the afterlife and this life as well in ways that will give you hope, joy, and peace. . If not, then the molecules crashing into each other in your brain are what caused you to type this and it would not be worth spending another second discussing, since our fleeting life that may end one second and blink out into darkness.

@@paulbotello1289 "what’s unreasonable?" It is unreasonable to believe in ancient scripture, that is error ridden and contradictory with other ancient scripture. If you think it is unreasonable to believe in the Greek gods, then it is unreasonable to believe in the Abrahamic god. Same treatment of mythology for everybody. "As a believer, I learned fast in my experience that God is only going to work in our lives as much as we allow him to." This is ad hoc reassurance. The same argument and with the very same conviction, believers of other religions are advocating for their own deities and believes. "Truth is humans have a prideful nature, that prevents us from submitting to anything." You never heard of BDSM, did you? Being submissive is a big part in it ... but I guess this is "sinnful" in your eyes, as it has something to do with sex ... "If the internet wasn’t included in a cell phone package that you paid for, if it cost $100 extra, plus routine maintenance and upkeep from us on a DAILY basis" You don't know how the internet works, do you? The 'internet' is not 'included' in your phone, as the internet isn't a software or some hardware ... The internet is a connection between servers on a global scale. To simplify it. If you are in a local network at home with your PC, your laptop and your smartphone, this is what the internet is ... Except it is on a much much much much bigger scale, with billions of devices all over the world ... "I doubt it would have developed the dependency in our lives that it’s developed" It isn't anywhere close to what you described ... "it doesn’t work quick enough for a majority of society." Another of Gods flaws. "Truth is FAITH TAKES TIME, not everyone is WILLING to invest their own time." Correct. And because faith means to believe without evidence, you will never be sure if you are right. And if it takes up a lot of your time and you find out, it was all useless ... you wasted it all. Obviously the same goes in the other direction, which is why believers try to defend their position by saying, that if they are right, they do get a benefit ... But this is pascals wager ... a fallacious argument ... It is better to act upon things we know, than on stuff we have no evidence for ... "God bless, peace be with you out in the world." In my opinion it is a wrong question to ask. And I think the answer "no" for this question is completely fine. For some people, who are not religious, the main point is that instead of believing in something, they prefer to have it scientifically proved. In other words. It is not the fact that they find many things they disagree with in religion, but the fact that they prefer not to believe in anything, that was not proved yet.

People don't want Christianity be true because they don't want to be accountable to God. People don't care what the evidence for God is and they will ignore it because it's not a head issue it's a heart issue.

Bart Erhman “But I also think that it is important to recognize both what the Gospels are and what they are not. What they are: These are four narratives that attempt to explain who Jesus was and what he said, did, and experienced. They were written by four different authors living many years after the events that they narrate. These authors do not claim to be eyewitnesses to the events they describe, and they almost certainly were not eyewitnesses. The eyewitnesses to Jesus’s life were for the most part lower-class, illiterate, Aramaic-speaking peasants from rural Galilee. The Gospels are written by highly literate, well-educated, Greek-speaking authors from other parts of the Roman Empire. They are basing their accounts on stories that they have heard, stories that have been told by word of mouth, month after month, year after year, decade after decade. You can probably imagine what happens to stories as they are circulated in this way. There was no way for the original eyewitnesses to control what one man told his wife, based on what he heard from a business associate, who had heard stories from his neighbor, who once had a cousin who was married to someone who had known an eyewitness. The stories almost certainly got changed over time. That’s why there are so many differences among them.”

They also weren’t taken from the people of the period who spoke Aramaic. The gospels were written in Greek by wealthy Roman Jews 30-70yrs after events. The Gnostic Christians thought Jesus was a preacher blessed by God to guide people to enlightenment not God himself...

As an atheist who was raised a Christian, I can truthfully say if I were to be convinced Christianity were actually true, then yes I would become a Christian (again). I have no trouble envisioning that as I lived in that mindset for a significant portion of my years. What I definitely have a problem with is imagining what would possibly convince me it were so. I find purpose in my life quite apart from only seeking pleasure or a desire to turn away from God just because I want to "sin". I guess Frank would have to acknowledge I do, in fact, have enough faith to be an atheist. Keep your faith as it serves you and godspeed.

That question is ridiculous and unhelpful. It is like asking a Christian, "If it's proven that Christ never existed, would you leave Christianity ?". In the absence of any evidence and logical argumentation, it is just a hypothetical that runs directly counter to their core beliefs. True, every person of integrity should immediately say "Yes, I will follow Truth wherever it leads", but let's face it, most will hesitate if given an apparently absurd hypothetical. Just as Atheists may prefer to go with what feels free and makes them happy, most Christians in the West, also have reasons other than pure Truth, for remaining Christians. as Mormons do for remaining Mormons and Jw's for remaining Jw's , though it is not all enjoyable and free.

I disagree. Yes, it's a hypothetical. But it's an important question since many athiests do answer, "No." The point is to distinguish whether the person is an athiest because they feel they lack knowledge or because they fundamentally reject Christianity. If they say "No" to this hypothetical, you're wasting your time arguing the truth of Christianity.

So do idolaters This is what the OT, NT and Qur'an say: Qur'an 5:15-19 O People of the Book! there hath come to you Our Messenger revealing to you much that you used to hide in the Book and passing over much : There has come to you from God a (new) Light and a clear Book. Wherewith God guides all who seek His good pleasure to ways of peace and safety and leads them out of darkness by His Will unto the light guides them to a Path that is Straight. *In blasphemy indeed are those that say that God is Christ the son of Mary. Say: "Who then has the least power against God if His Will were to destroy Christ the son of Mary, his mother and everyone that is on the earth? For to God belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is between. He creates what He pleases. For God has power over all things.* Say : "O People of the Book, come to a word common between us and you, that we worship none but God, and associate none as partner with Him, and that none of us take others for Lords, apart from God. " If they (still) turn away, then say: "Bear witness that we are Muslims (submitted to Him exclusively). Deuteronomy 4:23-24 So watch yourselves, that you do not forget the covenant of the Lord your God which He made with you, and make for yourselves a graven image in the form of anything against which the Lord your God has commanded you. For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. Deuteronomy 32:16 “They made Him jealous with strange gods; With abominations they provoked Him to anger. Deuteronomy 5:9 You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me, Deuteronomy 6:15 for the Lord your God in the midst of you is a jealous God; otherwise the anger of the Lord your God will be kindled against you, and He will wipe you off the face of the earth. Mark 12: 28-29 28 And one of the scribes came up and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he answered them well, asked him, “Which commandment is the most important of all?” 29 Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.

Here's the honest and complete answer to that question. If (YOU COULD PROVE THAT) Christianity were true, would I, as an atheist, convert? First, you'd have to define your particular brand of Christianity. If it includes mandatory loving and worshipping of god, then no, I literally could not voluntarily flip a switch that would make me love the god described in the bible even if i knew he existed (the list of atrocities commanded, committed and condoned by god as described in the bible is well documented, and I don't think we need to rehash those events). I could act like I loved it/him, but I wouldn't. Love is not a choice, it's a condition that develops based on your perception of another being's characteristics and usually also involves some sort of relationship. It cannot be commanded or produced by authoritative edicts or mandates. I do not find the characteristics of the god of the Bible to be pleasing, and I don't feel that I have any sort of relationship with that god as we have never interacted in any way that I have ever perceived. To assert that it is strictly (or always) not reasonable to be a Christian if the Bible is true does not logically bear out. (assuming that love of the biblical god is required for your version of Christianity). However, if you PROVED that the Bible was true, and all that was required was the belief and acknowledgement in the "sacrifice" of Jesus (as some people believe), then obviously anyone who saw the proof would instantly become a Christian (under that definition), whether they wanted to or not - just as anyone who saw the proof that 2+2=4 would have to believe that 2+2=4, regardless of how they felt about that fact. In my opinion you have clearly propped this question up with strawmen, and intentionally framed it dishonestly, which unfortunately makes me wonder how much money you stand to make from Christianity by dishonestly trying to propagate it. I hope that's not your motivation, but I doubt we'll ever know for sure.
