this is making me very nostalgic already, I remember when I first got to Wano and I was so hyped, it felt like a huge milestone, the festival of One Piece, the One Piece version of Olympics to me (in terms of hype and festive feel) not gonna dive into my thoughts about Wano (manga) now, but I hope I get that same fire when we move to a new arc Edit: the reason I mentioned this is because this openng played a masive role in this, I'd listen to this on repeat to get myself hyped for the next episode/chapter

You. Can still hear it at the end of every Wano episode as it hypes up for the next week's preview.
We all know that this one piece op hit soo damn different when it just came on the episode after when it was just the whole cake island arc. The setting finally changed and we were hit with brand new quality and design. One of the best setting and anime arc changes I have ever watched.

This opening gives me vibes of what a shounen should feel like. One Piece really is THAT shounen. People call it overrated but tell me one series like it 🤨 One Piece is so popular for a reason and I’m glad I got off my middle schooler high horse and started watching it. The new art style, filter, and animation is probably the best parts of Wano. I really hope One Piece stays like this from now on, all the way until it's completely finished. One Piece has deserved this treatment for many years.

this arc is going to be best animated arc in op its being done by the guy who was in charge of film Z, Gold, and Stampede the animation said to be this way for the future of the series(in other words until he steps down as series director). The art and animation have been constant as piss the last couple episodes(excluding the filler which was obviously done by the old team).

What I love most about Luffy is that he can easily fit in a weak crowd and no one will know that he is an emperor level threat (like when he was in Zou. I'm sure none of those kings knew his true power. I'm sure everyone had the impression that Luffy is just like any other pirate...a little tough...a little stubborn...and that's just about it. Probably a newb. 🤣 Little did they know Luffy had enough power to easily take down jack the drought, whom they fought for days, if he really tried. I really wanted Luffy to get a chance to go full brute mode. Like when the guardians in Zou claimed that Luffy would be in trouble if it was a full moon. Luffy answered by saying "ehhhh" 🤣 he did not get what the fuss was about. Even if it was full moon Luffy could still defeat both kings of Zou at thesame time. But after his fight with the buffalo guy, everyone put him at buffalo level since they had a draw. 😑 How disappointing. I guess they will only find out luffy's true power later. Also, when they asked Luffy to ally with them, I'm sure they thought he will just be contributing like all the others with the hope of achieving their goal of defeating kaido. 😂 Little did they know that Luffy is actually thrice as strong as all the other allies (except Marco) and he is actually the only hope of the mission.

Ok. I’m not even remotely close to Wano. Still in Big Horn. But I understand why One Piece is so hyped. Some say it’s overhyped with the amount of episodes. But it’s truly genius. The characters and world building are unlike anything I’ve seen in any anime so far. It keeps you so invested in not just the straw hats but new characters you meet and their story. I’m so happy I started! I’ll edit this when I make it to Wano! ☺️

The part about this op that is 100% my favourite is Lufty struggling in the prison and how it contrasts with all other prisoners we see throughout the series. Luffy is the only one who will get out because he struggled to the end
