I had a friend who loved One Piece. His favorite character was Sanji. He passed away over 4 Years Ago. This opening will always remind me of my bond with Him. Miss you Jack. ❤ Your dreams will never die.

Those who are spitting on Sanji in this arc, you guys have no understanding of the situation you are in. You guys all see is Sanji knocked out Luffy, but never saw when he returned back to carriage he was full of tears. These Sanji haters are kind of people who judge superficially, once they saw Luffy, the captain getting knocked out, they turned completely blind. Well, it's your choice anyways... but after this arc, Sanji became one of my most favourite character ❤

The part where Luffy reaches out to Sanji and the lyrics says "We are hope" makes my eye foggy. Sanji was forced to abandon his dream and his genuine family to live a life he did not wanted. He wanted to do something but was hopeless because of the great powers(Germa 66 Kingdom and the Big Mom Fleet) loaming on him. Its a very sad life for him and he thought that he could only be saved by Pudding's love. (Spoilers) Only later on to learn that he was betrayed by her, which broke Sanji to the very core. It was a hopeless situation for him and everything was over. Then appears Luffy. He basically help carry the heavy thoughts weighing on Sanji and extended his arm, shining a light on his world, giving him *HOPE* .

Sanji was a total chad at whole cake island arc. The princess of the whole cake island loves him as her life, the girl from his kingdom loves him too, and who could forget about the connection between nami and sanji during this arc.I think nami really like him at that point. I was going through some tough times with this opening. I’ve come far. This is the greatest anime openings of all times.

This is hands down the best opening in One Piece.

After all they went through to save Robin who also wanted to protect them, he still managed to do the same and " quit crew". Even worst he crazily attacked his captain... wtf. @@eldrad9131 Franky attacked Luffy in his arc, Zoro fought Luffy in alabasta, Usopp challenged him in Skypiea, don't dish it all on Sanji, the only problem with Sanji is that Oda probably hates him and will always diminish his character, proof being that Sanji hasn't had a single major fight after the Time Skip

Not likely, the wano arc will be similar to dress Rosa in size so that’s at least another year. Then he will have to defeat big mom/Blackbeard either or. He needs to get back fishman island so he needs to defeat big mom and Blackbeard pretty much directly caused the death of his brother Ace and whitebeard. He then has to become pirate king, Zoro has to beat mihawk and the rest of the crew does their thing. I’m gonna guess it will be probably around 7 years until one piece is finished. I think at least.

Best things about Whole Cake Island arc: - Hope - 1st action with a yonkou - Jinbei - Brook vs Big mom - Katakuri - Sanji's painful backstory - Pedro's sacrifce - and lastly, one of the biggest proof of how genius Oda really is; Pudding's character. Oda really made us like her, furious about her, pity her, laugh with her and cry for her. You cant tell me that that is not a genius of a writing.

I just got to the Sanji and Luffy fight and this opening started playing and it instantly became one of my favorites and immediately added it to my anime Playlist. Only for the view to swap to Luffy, who despite being featured in the previous shot SCREAMING at Sanji after losing a fight, is running towards the camera in an attempt to catch up to Sanji. Noice.

Honestly the best opening I've seen across the series. Started about 3 months ago; watched the episode of summaries on netflix and got so impatient i watched all impel down and reached wholecake island eventually. I like the series the most, and I did not start watching until 2023. Successfully brought me back into anime. Solid work, solid series, and arguably the best protag with some really great personality that doesn't drive me up the walls

Me too but godamn is it overpraised and overrated. The overpraise is well deserved but people seem to think the writing is perfection.

listening to this again and remembering this arc. reminds me why i love one piece so much; luffy's character's unparalleled determination to save and fight for someone dear to him wasn't limited to a fem mc. this much effort put by a protag was usually reserved when his supposed love interest was the one in danger in most shows, but in one piece, everyone is on equal standing when it comes to being important to luffy. which also why that time nami was the one who asked help or when they saved robin, it was never demeaning or had put them to a typical damsel in distress category, because the male characters themselves struggled just like them in their own problems and it never made anyone of them weak. just showed us they were human, and they all needed friends to share their burdens. i can never express how much i love Oda's writing tbh.. T_T
