There's a lot to criticize in the anime compared to the manga, but almost every piece of music from the pre-timeskip anime is iconic and it's hard to imagine One Piece without it.

@@Luke86Flyer The big thing I'm sure you've heard unless you are really new is the terrible pacing. Stretching everything out to an insane degree to milk budget and stall for when the manga wasn't far enough ahead. The filler is also annoying, especially when it is integrated in a way that cannot be easily trimmed for stuff like One Pace. There are also random story and character inconsistencies as well as differences from the manga which are usually for the worse. I don't hate the anime, obviously I love the music, the voice acting is on point and sometimes it's really nice to see pivotal moments animated.

I personally love how the series kept reusing music over so many years. It really makes it feel like despite how far into the show we get, it's always One Piece, it feels like one whole story rather than it being split up :) It also means such a big part of the OST becomes iconic ^_^
