    See how we are all praising him now. When he was coaching blackstars, most of us supported those who were vilifying him on daily basis. Songo even called him "Nantwie Muuu". Sometimes we Ghanaians need to take our time when criticising people at the helm of affairs. We become so emotional and verbally abuse our leaders instead of offering constructive criticism. When they are no longer running affairs then all of a sudden we realise that they are very good people.

    Mayele Ayil was congolese footballer with dribbling artistry of international repute . When Akwasi Appiah was assigned to check him ,his dribbling artistry disappeard and as a result Akwasi Appiah was given the name Mayele Ayil by the Asawasi kotoko supporters led by the famous Bishop Muzorewa of Asawasi. Akwasi ,u know this very well. Happy New Year. Remember your mate Yaw BK of Opoku Ware secondary school.

    I remember the commentary as ran by the great Harry Thompson vividly. The commentary was dominated by "Mayele-Akwasi Appiah" expression throughout, as his successful checks on mighty Mayele brought the best out of the ace commentator. Little did I know the Akwasi Appiah who had reduced Mayele to a mere spectator on his home turf was my own classmate at Opoku Ware School.

    Kwasi Appiah should be sincere himself, both captaincy decisions from Mensah to Gyan and Gyan to Dede were bad. A good coach makes good decisions, if you can’t take better decisions how can you manage games.?

  • @lawrenceamos3316
    @lawrenceamos3316 Жыл бұрын

    Coach, you can sit here and justify the manner in which you change your captains by talking about how you changed John Mensah. But will you say that you liked the outcome of the switch you did the last time? If you have the opportunity to do it again, will you repeat the same approach; the timing and how you went about it? I don't think so because I'll be surprised. We paid the heavy price when this approach was used in 92 and before the German match. The team was divided, costing Ghana the cup in Senegal and a 6-1 lost to Germany. When you repeated it, again, it affected the team and its support base during the tournament. We can do it better when it come to changing captains so that the outgoing captain's spirit would be at piece for his blessings to be upon the incoming captain so that unity will be in the team. We have another opportunity to fade out another captain; Dede, we should get it right this time in order to put the team in the position where it can be the winning machine one more time. We can play a match in honor of Dede, to fade him out the main captain and bring in a new captain. After that, in a little ceremony, Dede will transfer authority of the team to the incoming captain. Won't this bring sanity and orderliness in camp?

    Ghanaians don't have ' )twen honhom koraa ' we want results now now no matter the strength of black stars. Look at Senegal and for that matter, during AFCON tournaments, I always support a national team with a local coach like Senegal 🇸🇳, Cameroon 🇨🇲 etc.
