Sir Sam Jona is a great man. As my dad's class mate in Adisco he sponsored my 6th form education when my dad passed away. I am what I am today because of Sir Jona's generosity.

My admiration for Lawyer Frimpong Anokye Knows no bounds. For he brings the history of Ghana to life. However, I feel he should look at things from the African perspective. This is because whiles people like Sir Sam Jonah's achievements are by no means mean, they do not tell the whole story. The question is: how does an African in this day and age, become a Knight of the British Empire? I believe it is because his contributions to the British Empire are immense. We therefore have to ask: Is the British Empire and Modern Ghana on the same path of progress? If not, then we must understand that, whiles one is winning, the other is losing. Moreover, we must understand that schools like Adisadel College were instituted by our colonial masters (Society For the Propagation of the Gospel) to train indigenes to do their biding.

Hello Everyone, This is an unwanted discussion. Let me ask you, how did Mr. Jonah receive knighthood from the British? Dr. Frimpong, please, to hold your dignity, refrain from talking about everybody without due diligence. Please, we don't want to lose respect for you. It appears you are being paid to do this. If not, for what other reason are you embarking on this journey. All those big names, titles, and degrees have not helped anyone in this country.

The lawyer’s account is not fully accurate. I worked at AGC in the late seventies and early eighties. General I . K Acheampong demanded a fair share of 45% of the company which was then owned by Lonhro. The General manager of the company, a man called general Spears was angered by the demand and threatened to “flood” the mines. Acheampong called his bluff and got his wish for Ghana. The next general manager by 1979 was called Manager Box (hope I spelled the name right) I was in the company when Rawlings used to visit the company very often. He also demanded a higher percentage of shares in the company, and therefore had the right to appoint the general manager. Rawlings appointed Sam Jonah by popular support and demand of the miners.
