What’s even more incredible is that this concert was started late because Taka was not feeling well and is singing while being sick. As a fan when I first saw this video I couldn’t even tell until another fan who was actually at the concert posted what had happened. Let’s you know exactly how professional and talented Taka really is.

One Ok Rock is a live band through and through. Taka even stated that their albums are just an invitation to their concerts, “Enjoy them but if you want to hear the real music, come to our concerts”. Already a household name in Japan and probably the most successful Japanese artist worldwide. I honestly can’t think of any other Rock band since the 2000s who can host such incredible and massive one man concerts today. Most other bands of this caliber are from way back in the 80s and 90s and are long established big names. With Hiphop and electronic pop taking over music markets everywhere, it’s only getting rarer to see Rock/Metal bands have such a strong presence in the mainstream music industry. Japan is probably the only music market today that still has a sizeable audience for Rock/Metal music and them bring the 2nd largest music industry in the world definitely helps. There’s a reason why RnR icons like Marty Friedman have moved permanently to Japan.

Just like what Taka said on one of their interview, rock bands/rock genre will never fade in Japan as it is already on their culture. Bands help japanese to relieve stress.

(Hard Rock all female band) They, One Ok Rock and Babymetal (pretty sure you’ve heard of them already) are the 3 bands that are making the most waves internationally right now and each of them have very solid fanbases here on youtube too.

I'm a Japanese rockband casual fan and One OK Rock is at the top of my list. One OK Rock and BTS makes me feel things and strong emotions I thought I don't have. I watch here primarily due to Bangtan but since you're exploring them also, I want to see more of them here 💜😊.

taka sounds phenomenal in live!! I've been to their concerts! the energy is crazy! I never sweat to much from a concert hahaha so much jumping and singing XD

Jup, one ok rock sounds incredible live, taka is one of the best vocalists imo, he also covered Adeles Hello and its beautiful, you can find it here on youtube!

Heck yeaaaaaaaah!! And believe it or not, this is Taka (the vocalist) when he's a little under the weather LOL. But that's totally fine because it gives his voice a bit of rawness. I like this performance of "We are" the best because of how he sings "I'm not afraid" before the guitar solo. His throat not being at 100% gives it a bit of an extra oomph. You can compare this with the 18 Fes ver and performance at Ambitions Japan Tour. What's great about OOR is that even if they are singing the same song, each performance is unique. I sent a few requests through your form and hope you'll get to them sometime. You need to check out the live versions of the songs you previously reacted to! Trust me, "Clock Strikes" is infinitely better when 30K fans are singing along. Anyway, really glad you enjoyed this one and hope you'll do more soon.

They’re also dropping a new song on the 16 April called Renegade!

Im army and I really love this band too, those two groups blow my mind, their lyrics are amazing

Just to let you know, ONE OK ROCK ALWAYS sounds better live.

I was so incredibly happy and surprised when I saw this pop up on my sub feed!! I hadn't realised you reacted to them before, thank you so much for doing so again! Taka's voice is INSANE and so stable live, their online concert a few months back was amazing 💕 I'm not sure if anyone has suggested Day6 to you before, they're a k-band who admittedly are more pop-rock/alt-rock so maybe not your jam but some of their harder stuff like 'Shoot Me' is definietly worth a check out, they are amazing vocalists and musicians! ❤ Thanks for your reactions as always!

@@jonny.x they are known for that. They are really great in hyping and commanding the crowd, thats why their concerts are jam packed. Plus the fact that Taka (vocalist) is really great in performing in kive performances. His live vocals is way better than the studio one. I like raw vocals.

Here's the answer why in Video sound so crisp : In actual they sound like this good but a little bit echo-ish (if u know what in meant in concert) because they played on actual instrument and vocal in open area, but in process of making DVD collection video. They also kept the records while performance as well for the crisp and studio quality sound during making of video.

I recommend you to react ONE OK ROCK - WE ARE but the (18 FES VER). I promise you, it will give you even more goosebump. plus, they put english subtitle in this version, and I guarantee you the lyrics will hit you.

Every single song of theirs sounds better live. There’s been some songs of theirs that I wasn’t keen on at first that I suddenly switched my opinion on when I watched a live version. I saw them live in their first London gig in a small venue. Seeing these videos of them playing stadiums and domes are great, but seeing them up close for real? Damn it was awesome. My all time favourite of theirs is Mr Gendai Speaker, which I completely fell in love with when I watched the live kzread.info/dash/bejne/mYNrs9meiNyoaLg.html There’s a whole 2 minute instrumental leading into the song itself, and by the time the intro of the song itself started I was sold. Side note: I was really into OOR from 2012 to 2017. Since 2017 I’ve been into BTS

I saw them live in Paris during that same tour (at the Bataclan). Taka did some stage diving... and it was the last time he did because of all the grabby hands lol. I think it's testament to his singing ability that his voice didn't falter at all. It was one of the best concerts in my life tbh. I only missed one of their tours since, and it was only because I couldn't get a ticket. I love that they're still doing smaller venues when they tour Europe, but it has its downsides, like the five-minutes soldout that time ^^;

I only follow few groups like One Ok Rock and another great live performance group is the kpop group 2PM. As they say the japan Domes have amazing sound systems that enhance the whole experience for the audience, thus they love to perform live at japan domes. You should check out 2PM sometimes

I love one ok rock!! Before i was into kpop, i've been a j pop / j rock fan (and ofc usual english songs) So so good! Check out Orange Range too and their song "Hana" - one of my faves, it's a rap rock song. Isn't amazing to listen (and eventually get to enjoy) to different music from different countries? Good music is good music!

I've seen them three times live in the US and they are superb! Easy my #1 live band! Taka's little brother is the singer of the band My First Story. More Japanese artist suggestions from me are Survive Said The Prophet, HYDE (one of the *biggest* names in Japanese rock), and MIYAVI.

you will get more shocked when you find out his voice when you see him in real person live concert. His range is actually more wide than this one

I know im late here but I saw the live a few years ago and they genuinely sound so beyond AMAZING live🥺💖 like it's astounding

number one rule on being a huge japanese band. You have to sound good live, studio recordings doesnt matter. You will see that more often then naught, that most if not all Japanese bands always sound better live then the studio recordings
