'18 fes was a special thing the band held for 18/19yo fans. The audience here is 1,000 people and they had mics set up for this special recording.

Also to add, 2017 was the year that Japan lowered their voting age from 21 to 18. The documentary hopes to empower the 18 year olds to rise up to the challenge of taking heavier responsibilities and becoming involved in the affairs of society. The song was made specially for this purpose and all the 18 year olds present in the recording were handpicked by the One Ok Rock members themselves through submitted audition videos. The song is also a response to the worries and fears that Some of the older generation feel and the 18 year olds themselves feel. This is evident in the lyrics. Like “They say that we’re no one. We’re nothing. Not Sorry. They push us its too late not going back... When you’re standing on the edge so young and hopeless got demons in your head. We are. We are. No ground beneath your feet no here to hold you... We are. We are the colors in the dark.” The major reason I love this band is that they give voices to the feelings that are otherwise left unheard of. Some of their songs are dedicated to someone and are based on personal experiences and basically are emotionally charged. Be The Light, Smiling Down, Nobody’s Home have emotional back stories.

Hi, I suggest that you check the longer version of this performance, which includes Taka addressing to the audience both at the beginning and at the end of the song : kzread.info/dash/bejne/dIqnps-ykrXIpdI.html Here's a translation of what Taka said at the beginning . This is not my own translation; credits to Karyuudo Fansubs kzread.info/dron/iVv_iu1yRtkpcxXgAQsQlA.html Their original subbed video unfortunately is not available anymore. "I'll assume that you've experienced a lot of things before welcoming this day and you'll certainly will come across many other things in the future. Many things will occur to us as well. There is one thing that I would like to say, and that is that you are no longer children. In my view I trust that you are all fine adults. The world that we live in also has too many foolish people, no matter how much they age. Meanwhile there are many enthusiastic individuals out there with an incredible ability to think, even though they're considered under age. Each and everyone of us are filled with all kinds of emotions, such as sense of excitement, guilt, justice, etc. To live by the motto of being honest with one's feelings is something I cherish the most. As you journey into the future and encounter the many things that will occur, my advice is for you to continue to stay true to yourself with each and every life experience. We composed this song with this thought in mind. I have a feeling that you are all fired up right now. At this time I look forward to completing this piece of music by performing it together. Are you ready? Let's do this. Let's go!" At the end of the song Taka gave another speech. Here is what he said : "Our attitude and enthusiasm are just like yours. They haven't changed a bit since we were 18 years old. Ten years have already passed by, but our plan is to continue doing what we do, with the same level of passion, for as long as we can. We don't want you to lose to us, so be sure to continue to live your lives without forgetting what you are passionate about. Thank you for everything today!" What a fantastic and powerful message!!!! Great reaction by the way.

Sucesso.

Loved the reaction. Just a couple things. #1 Don't pause so much (or at all). #2 If you're reacting to something like this, find the subtitled version. The lyrics for this song are very meaningful but you missed most of that since half the song is in Japanese. Not trying to sound like a dick, just wanted to say this.

@@theflex9956 you can react without pausing. you''re not a professor or expert about anything in this video. you dont even know shit about this show, who the crowds are, the culture, music theory, vocal technique, audio engineer or anything about it. you sound so ignorance and think your reaction is so important to watch above what people expect from reaction video. You don't adding any value to the video, yet you ruin the experience of the performance for you and for your audience. cutting of a performance is rude, show your respect by not interrupting the performance unless you have something more important than the performance itself. not only to this band but to anything you're watching for reaction video. imagine you're giving a speech, building up an emotion and tension to make a point and then someone interrupt you. or imagine you're performing stand up comedy, you build up a scene but before you hit the punchline, someone interrupt you and ruin it. isn't that annoying? people giving comment for you to improve, and you here try to talk back at em to watch the original video instead. we did, thats why we're watching reaction to see other people reaction you idiot. keep doing that and dont be surprised if less people are interested to watch your video. with that attitude.

One Ok Rock is great, but you just hit the tip of the iceberg of Japanese and Asian music talent. One Ok Rock Babymetal kzread.info/dash/bejne/rIh5u7d_l6_clbw.html Band-Maid kzread.info/dash/bejne/i5mdq8yuj9eXdJs.html Hello Sleepwalkers kzread.info/dash/bejne/jKyrx4-nlr2wqbA.html And literally Tons more great Japanese bands. Korea, even though I'm not a big fan of K-Pop, has a lot of vocal talent if you avoid the western pop stuff (but if you HAVE to listen to pop, then you might as well listen to K-Pop or J-Pop because even the 'crap' is way better than what we have in the west.) Here's a famous Korean poet and ballad singer, doing a duet with a 15 year old girl who won a competition specifically to sing a duet with him: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gWtl3LSOj9bQZM4.html And here's another duet from the same show, a different famous artist, singing a duet with a fan who won this contest: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZKGG2bybqMKYqbA.html And then there's Kazakhstan, and the ONE-AND-ONLY Dimash .... the best singer in the whole world, no question, and there's no one who has ever heard him that would dare dispute this claim: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fHmuk9OAg5O6YbQ.html Welcome to the amzaing world of 'the rest of the world" ;-) !!
