@@VeryPeeved The big roleplay rule for my character is NOBODY who isn't in the Brotherhood is allowed to see him in his armor/robes and live. Thus, I've always only worn my Dark Brotherhood outfit(s) when I'm either inside a dungeon (and therefore every witness is going to be silenced), or when I'm carrying out a Contract and I won't be spotted/I intend to silence any witnesses anyway. Remember, if you meet Telaendril when out in Cyrodiil, she'll say: "Not here! Not in public! We must never speak to each other outside the Sanctuary! The risk of detection is too great!" Thus, secrecy matters the most.

@@HelghastStalker Same, no one see's the assassin's garb and lives. I'd make a point to only use it in combat if I was alone, and strictly wore the Deceiver's Finery for this particular quest.

Meanwhile I was running around with the mythic robe through the entire storyline. And they did not ask why... 😂

I remember my first go at this quest, before i did anything, they all suddenly ganged up on the dark elf and killed her. Then everyone was so distraught about a killer running amok and mourning her body.

I remember doing this quest many times to see all the outcomes, its one of my favorites

I remember doing this dialogue on a run where I destroyed everyone I could in the imperial city and had a bounty of a hundred thousand gold or so at one point, and I just died laughing at the old lady line. Oh oblivion, what a spectacular game you were.

This quest was absolutely fantastic. Honestly, Skyrim could never.

Agreed, the only thing in Skyrim Dark Brotherhood that even came close is bound until death (The contract where you kill vittoria vici at her wedding) but even that is incomparable to this quest

Makes sense in a way though, pretty much every faction, organization, etc in Skyrim is on the way down, the Thief Guild, the Brotherhood, the College, etc, the land is filled with bandits and cultists, everyone is on their own and the pathetic missions you get reflect how much of a joke they all are at the moment.

Hopefully TES VI combines the best of both Oblivion and Skyrim, and I'd like to see them bring back some of the dropped skills and magic effects from Morrowind, like Levitation and different vampire factions with different powers. Elder Scrolls lore is incredibly complex, but the games just barely scratch the surface.

This honestly was one of my favorite quests. So many different ways you could play it.

I loved this quest. The best assassin's quest in all of the Elder Scrolls.

This was the best quest of any game ever

This gives me Town of Salem vibes. Not much people left and always somebody guess absolutely wrong who is evil and dooms entire game. 😂

Whodunit is a legendary quest I will never forget

My favorite Dark Brotherhood quest.

The sound and speed that he dies is almost like a South Park death.

I, too, love those moments in Among Us when you are the imposter and you survive the 50/50 at the very end of the game.

This quest has lots of replayibility depending on the killing order.

No, Morrowind was the peak. Morrowind has more freedom of creation, factions, skills, quests galore and in many you can actually choose sides. Plus you have the option to become a Werewolf and the Vampires actually have different stats based on the bloodline and clan your infected by. Oblivion doesnt have any of that.

@@ZHBraden13 I honestly think bethesda agrees with you (even if i don't) because of how some things in skyrim are just morrowind things but worse eg. morrowind has noble houses, skyrim has a civil war. Morrowind has a werewolf DLC, skyrim has a vampire dlc (which also has 1 vampire clan) not to mention that both have solstheim dlcs

I honestly always loved this quest.

Ah so that's how this quest is supposed to go I've always done it with 100% invisibility rings giving you a literal 100% invisibility that doesn't deactivate when attacking

Yeah, you can raise the dispositions of each guest and with 2 npcs left and high disposition with one of the survivors, you can convince them to kill the other one, thereby not risking detection by the other person and losing the bonus. (TL;DR, being friends with 1 guest lets you convince them to kill the other one)
