Don't think I have ever seen one before very unusual, shows how tame car design is now alot of engineering gone into them doors just don't happen these days. Nice car and genuine guy really enthusiast about this car.

Jamie the only cars i know that have a glass boot lid the same as this is corvettes. Love this wee car. I would for sure buy one of these. There so cool.

I love the car a lot specially this one

I want this as my next car. I'm in a wheelchair so having those doors get completely out of my way would make for some easy transfers. Plus it's already got an automatic transmission so its basically compatible with hand controls. Easy transfers, cool style and a major enjoyability factor makes for a decent car for a car enthusiast and wheelchair user like me!

Awsome car shame not many about now tho, alot of them had starlet turbo transplants and were made into real quick cars.

An interesting car/ video for once.

hmmm...looks a lot like the Toyota Paseo that we got here in North America (except that the Paseo didn't have 'gullwing' doors). I wish you guys could have found a manual transmittion K-Sera to test...the 4 speed Toyota auto was already ancient at that point...interesting fact: the NEW (2020) Yaris automatic is virtually the same autobox...wow...the more things change...etc...

The Sera, Starlet, Paseo and Tercel all shared a platform, with the same suspension, etc. The Sera and Paseo were 1.5L, the Starlet was 1.3, and I think the Tercel could have either.

I'm 3 seconds in. I bet he loves it

I had one in Okinawa japan in 2002, love my fish bowl, nicknamed from my wife.

It's a weird car in that there's no practical reason to own one, especially in Australia. But I still want one...

I'd love to see someone do a RWD conversion with a rotary engine, banging out a tunnel for a rear axle yet keeping the seats as is would be an interesting challenge. Otherwise, you'd be stuck with FWD rotary brapness if you can adapt it or even RWD MR2 style it an box in the rear :D
