It was an incredible run by Josh and he proved himself the best in the world on the day it matters, but we should be careful in comparing times (especially in 1500m and above due to the exponential effect on return of energy given) from performances from different eras. Cram of 85 would have no problems running significantly faster than he did on today's scene.

Kerr's was the stronger run physically, but I think Wightman's was a little better, a little braver. KH was fastest going into 800 and came away with silver and is focused on gold but has more respect for herself and does not make excuses, also very respectful of the other athletes, jacob could try that, he is a great runner, but comes across as arrogant and then when defeated trots out same old , im not feeling great, but okay i can still win the 5000 not at full throttle, that was my disappointment, would loved for Katir to have won, oh and did not here Katir making excuses

OK, if Hudson-Smith wins tomorrow, this Championships would have been almost dreamlike for us British fans. Come on Keely too. So happy for KJT and the long road Kerr's been on (seemingly losing a little of the 'can beat the world' spark he came into the sport with, until he delivered it all tonight).

I remember last time out, some bloke was banging on about how Ingebritsen was unbeatable and days later Wightman beat him at the worlds. I wonder if that bloke is still banging on now ?

Excellent Kerr race similar to Wightman's last year. I don't understand the Kenyan athlete who 'pulls' the first lap in 56': tactically playing Ingebrigtsen's game ...
