I was 11 when this movie came out and my mother was 30. She snuck us in to a drive in movie theather by having us hide under the seats of her 1984 plymouth voyageur. I am now 36 and she has since passed away. Love you mom.

With LL Cool J jabbing the hell out of the shark's eye with his cross, in the HIGHLY unlikely event that you ever find yourself attacked by a shark or a gator, that's actually a great method to get it to let go! 😂This movie is classic. I was always so happy LL Cool J lived to the end!

I absolutely adore the answer to the question 'what does a 2 ton mako shark with a brain the size of a flat head engine and no natural predators think about?'. It's the same as us in the same situation. We are apex predators and we are the smartest animals in the world. Think about it. If someone threw you into a prison but you found a way to break out and your captors couldn't fight back against you very well, what would be on your mind? Step 8: Freedom. Actually teared up a bit writing that because that's how ingrained it is in our DNA to seek freedom.

My favorite shark movie, Ive watched it a billion times. So glad you reacted to it. It’s so underrated. It didn’t need a sequel but I lowkey wish we got one.

Saw this on my birthday. When Sam Jackson started his speech, all I could think was how funny it'd be if a shark suddenly ate him. When it happened, the entire theater screamed except for me. I was laughing so hard that I started wheezing and couldn't breathe for a minute. Best birthday present ever 😂

Under the guise of picking up something from my Grandparents, my family pulled up and I saw a bunch of cars. My grandparents used to have big cookouts, they were so much fun! I was mad because I was like are they having a cookout and didn’t tell us?! Turns out it was a surprise party for my 16th birthday. I cried😅
