One of the BEST Auctions I've EVER SEEN! Impala Convertibles, RARE 1959 Cadillacs! (Auction Recap)
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
This estate auction took place last week in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. A man's collection of 1958 Impalas, 1959 Cadillacs, and other misc. cars and parts was sold online. This is one of the best auctions I have seen in recent memory, and there were many desirable and valuable cars in one place for all to see. The rarest by far was the 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Seville, which was 1 of 975 total produced, followed by three 1958 Impala convertible projects in one spot, which is a rarity by itself!
I hope you all enjoyed seeing these rare survivor cars, let me know which one was your favorite!

I'd have to agree on the rarity by content factor there - someone definitely had foresight there, huh? Liked the 59 Eldorado Seville, never knew about those before this vid. Sad thing on the 4th 58 with no Vin, white w/gold interior, she was a beauty when new.
Iove the 58 Impalas! They have super strong styling, back in the day you could see one coming or going from a mile away and know that it was a 58 Impala!

For sure!
In my opinion the 58 Impala was the most beautiful car ever
Hey Ryan, indeed, these have to be some of the most wild vehicles you have shown! Rare Cadillacs, etc. I remember when you could not even give away a 1958 Chevrolet back in the 1970's, there was a bit of interest thanks to the '58 in American Graffiti but not nearly like what we see now. What a collection! If only..... Sigh. The news about the engine going into the 64 is nice to hear, I see things are coming together for you. I love seeing Felix! Such a picture loving cat in his sharp tuxedo, hope to see more of him, I am sure he is keeping mice on the run! Looking forward to seeing upcoming adventures!

In reality, it needed at least partial floors, if not the whole floor pan and still sold for 43K. Nothing like digging yourself in a hole before you even start. The car world is getting stranger by the day !
I was at my grandfathers pole shed over the weekend for a family auction. I wish he had cars like this inside. His old cars were in the woods back in the day, nothing like this. He had rare cars new, they are long gone. Mostly 2 door station wagons, including a 1957 Nomad yellow with a white top.
The pink Impala is a real beauty. Growing up as a kid in the UK these were my dream cars.
Sweet 58s old school muscle cars love em

Back in the 70's you could pick up a nice 59 Chevy for $2,000 running or less.. But to us street racer's they were boats. Glad to see you young guys showing interest in these old cars and putting them back together.
Love the 58.😢

I agree with you on the cadillac Sevile was the best car. I also liked the 58 Chevy's. That one year body style was fantatic. Acutions are fine but the up the bid so much, that no can afford it Can't wait for a junk yard sale or walk, or one of your project cars.

I was there the day before (Wednesday) the bidding ended. My friend owned the chopped flamed Merc in 1961-62. It was a 20 coat black lacquer, Cadillac powered show car back then and he supplied the auction people with a chain of ownership since he had sold it for the new owner, who turned out to be local. For reference, the Cadillac convert went for 47.5K and the (3) 58 convertibles went for 43K, 36.75K and 34.25K with the red one being the highest. Nothing like burying yourself in a project before you even start. Even the parts went for stupid money for the most part, at least it was a nice day for a drive.

Lots of cool cars, but I think my favorite would have to be the 58 Fury. Probably because Christine is 1 of my favorite movies and 1 of my favorite cars. I bet that went for quite a bit of money. My 2nd favorite would probably be the 59 Elcamino. Thanks for the video

Have to agree with you on your assessment on prices for certain vintage cars. Waaaay too high. I just bought a '69 Dart Swinger 340, complete and off the road since '81-'82. Flew into DFW on my way home from AZ, drove a couple hours south, and found it to be pretty much as described. Price wise? Not free, not 1991 priced, but for a solid, never smashed/twisted, and having very rare parts all there...can't complain

That Impala and a Cadillac convertible will sell pretty quickly
That was a lot of '58 chevy there, way better than the '55-'57 IMHO .. . three drop tops??? That good man was a bit of an over achiever, I like his style.... For some odd reason I find myself drawn to the 6-cyl car over the v8's. Something about the challenge of making that 6 into a mill that would make a v8 say "what the???" .. For some reason , that sort appeals to me.. Would be a hit at car shows with its twin turbo's or perhaps a super charger... definitely different... which to my way of thinking, is a very good thing. Why be normal??? My overall absolute favorite? My good buddy Ryan here was nice enough to put it up on the lift to keep it safe until i can there next week. That '59 two door Brookwood.. Ryan dude, very generous of you to offer to gift me that car... you are the best, friend ... You do remember that conversation right? The fact that you're reading about it right here on the internet means it must be true, right? (man I sure hope this works)😊😊😊 See ya next week Buddy😊 (hope this works) You take care now... Ryan I have said this before but many of the cars you show are pure rust buckets. Ido not want to take away from what you are doing, but to restore these cars properly it would take the better part of $100,000.00 in todays money. The 58 Chevy cars are pure junk, they are rusted to death They need quarters, rockers, floors, fenders, hoods, glass, wheels, tires, engines, trans, and some rears. of the six shown maybe you could make one solid car. and then you would need stainless trim and emblems let alone paint. Look I can comment as I have been there. I completely restored a 67 Camaro that was in pretty bad shape. I bought the car for $8000.00 and replaced every nut and bolt on it. Being able to do all the deconstruction and construction work myself. I did everything except the paint I spent over $30,000.000 in parts fenders, doors, hood, bumpers, glass, seats, carpet, console, shifter, trans, engine, driveshaft, clutch, radio, heater core, radiator, hoses, belts, hardware, fittings, Trim, brakes, bearings, seals, gaskets, exhaust. I have been there. I have done that.
I think it's time to get some glasses young man or go back to school cuz that chassis is not a tri-power flathead take a closer look my friend it only has two carburetors that's t w o carburetors.....
