Kelly, I’m a native Floridian and the moss you picked up is known as Deer Moss.
It's called Deer Moss. Used in floral arrangements and taxidermy displays...go Kelly & James !!! Thanks again....
Ramen + peanut butter + sriracha (aka redneck pad thai) is my go-to backpacking dinner.
Glad that you back finishing the FT. I never seen that moss or plants you showed today. Congrats on a 1000 miles
We call them lightening bugs where I'm from. Haven't seen any since moving to AZ. I miss them.
Those ground carnivorous plants are called sundews. Very special!
Hey Kelly, hope you didn't get a nosebleed from that high elevation! LOL stay safe you guys 😊
Hi Kelly from Canada. You’re such a sweet person, the world is nicer with you in it. Man the fireflies were crazy!!! And the picture plants, beautiful. Thankyou for sharing with us.👍🇨🇦✌️
Thanks for all of your videos and for this one. It is always nostalgic for me watching people hike through the Florida panhandle. I used to walk into the Apalachicola National Forest and camp when I was a student at Florida State. I lived for a while in Crestview, near Elgin where my grandfather worked in Civil Service and retired from. My father was stationed at Elgin before I was born. My grandfather and I often fished in ponds in Okaloosa and Walton Counties. I really enjoyed the woods there.
Wow, beautiful part of the trail. Thanks for the video. Plant life was amazing. Stay well and be safe. The white moss made it look like a fairytale forest.
I was at that campsite about 3 weeks before you and the fireflies were like I had never seen before. I literally sat there for hours just watching them. Glad you got to enjoy them too.
Congratulations on 1000 miles 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 The fire flies with the whippoorwill was awesome I could watch and listen all night. Stay safe and Happy Hiking ⛺️🥾🥾💞
💥1000💥 Great job! The firefly fireworks were amazing! We used to get them like that in Maine when I was little. Like honeybees, not so much anymore for similar reasons. Beautiful hike Kelly. ✌️
The moss looks like snow.
The camerawork of The White Pitcher at 7:00 is startling, and some of your best work.
Congratulations on your 1000 mile. What a challenging trail overall. Thanks for sharing. Please stay safe.
Congratulations on your 1000 miles hike. Have a wonderful evening and a beautiful sunrise tomorrow 🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍👍
Heard a Chuck Will's Widow singing in the background at the end of your video... this always makes me think of the end of spring/ beginning of summer. Looks like a beautiful section you are hiking!
Beautiful area! Fireflies were very cool! Thank you for sharing!❤
🤣 “The air is thin up here” @272 feet 🤣🤣🏆
272 ft lol - Florida has so many neat plants and animals, I hope some day I can visit and observe. Grats on 1000 miles, now it's time to bring it home!
Miss Kelly, love the fire flies, AMAZING!!!
Glad to see you back on and I hope all’s well…having watched you, Dixie, and hiking America as well as others…I’ve gone down to hike some sections of the FT …just heading back to Wisconsin now after doing part of the Suwannee and St Marks…also did a bit of Cumberland Island again…so thank you …keep going and be safe
Firefly's have gotten to be a rare sight anywhere in florida.

@@ElephantProtectors insecticides on lawns would be my guess.
Here in Greenville SC you have to enter a drawing to win tickets and pay to see the fire flies light up on the trails at night. How cool and lucky are you!!!!! Love your videos and vibes ❤
Wonderful ❤
Awesome, thanks for sharing 😊
This brought back such good memories! Missing trail hard rn ❤
Kelly it is amazing you are all most to the end of the trail fort picket
The freeze dried maggots in dirt or wakame really gave me a start. Takoma Park is 350' above sea level and ten to fifteen degrees cooler most times than downtown D.C. And it's reason for being. The pitcher plants were suitably beautiful and horrid.
Nice section of trail!
You guys are kill'in it! Congrats on the 1000 miles. The end is near, geek
Congratulations on 1000 miles
Truely AMAZING 1000 mile 😍😍
1000+ miles 👏👏👏‼️ It won’t be long now!
I just watched this a second time with Rich and we are going to do this section once it cools off again.
Love bog plants!
Will we ever find out why you left the trail?

maybe not but maybe yes when she is done. i think she should of not said anything if she wasn’t gonna address it.
That was a stunning close-up of the pitcher plant. I don’t think my iPhone 8 would pick up those fire flies. That was cool. Congrats on 1000.

Where is James ? I thought you were hiking together. Didn't see him in this video. What happened ?
You put what in your Ramen?
If you see a ten foot tall pitcher plant... don't go near.)
272 feet. Just another PUD. 😅
Where are you from? What state?
steps, out and about, flamingo, and grits!
Yeah...Florida's pretty at that elevation :) (I think everyone makes the thin air joke). You should pass the 1000 mile sign in the next video.
Hope you guys have your rang pass
