I have a Funky Blue DLC Pioneer, and it is my favourite watch. I have a 7 1/2 wrist and my ideal size is 39mm. However, this hugs the wrist, wears flat and feels way better than something like a Tudor GMT which felt huge. Absolutely love it, and the rubber straps are super confortable. If you want a smaller Pioneer, they do 40mm versions with rotating bezels from time to time, like the current Govberg limited edition.
Stunning - I love how understated the logo is. Another example of how less is more. From the top it looks as simple as can be, dateless, no logo, simple hands and markers - all of which make it extremely legible. However looking close at the dial shows the detail, and turning the watch on its side treats you to that gorgeous case. I can see why theyve been on your radar for so long.
Love their watches, love their blue colorway and Vantablack. While I don't hate the strap, don't care for green on green, but that can be easily resolved, change it to a quality strap, but the original in the box, will help with resale value,. Past few years they really upped their prices. Just one caveat and for those who care for their watches, isn't an issue, they can easily break.
This reminds me of those two tone drum sets i never wanted to buy in the 90's
That etched logo is pure class - and such a beautiful movement.
I have the same watch in red. Absolutely love wearing it.
Lovely dial, like you're far below the ocean surface & looking up.
Thorough and entertaining review, Chris - Thank you! The watch looks fantastic and appropriately sized on your wrist. Take advantage of your larger-than-average wrist size! You are obviously enamored with this piece - BUY IT!!! Cheers!
I love the dial color and the idea it isn't a stamped-out watch but 43mm is a show stopper.
The website doesnt say it's limited. Killer watch apart from that!
incredible dial
Media simply does not do justice to the sunburst dial. You need to see it for real. It seems to be lit from within.
In 2020 I purchased three H Mosers. The first was a rose gold, hand wound Endeavor, the second was a Streamliner (green dragon), the third was a funky blue Heritage. The Endeavor is my favorite out of the three. I’m hoping to by a mad red Pioneer from a friend.

Very nice list. I have to say, the mad red dial is really mesmerizing.
Love this watch. I have a 16.5 cm wrist, which is just about average, but the watch wears perfectly fine. Btw, it would be great if you could talk about changing its strap to steel bracelet, and it looks awesome.
Gorgeous dial...period!
That dial is amazing. I like how the brand name is engraved into the dial. 43 mm kills it for my small wrist though.

43 is a odd size
I also like Moser pieces. They are definitely on my list.
Love the watch, great review, cheers
I love that dial. But 43mm is too big for me. I would love to see this design in 38mm.
How does the watch 1)wear and 2)appear in terms of relative size to something like a 44mm Panerai Luminor?
From the top view, this wears as large, if not larger than the 45mm Fifty Fathom. But what an amazing watch it is.
I wish Moser actually produced the “icon” watch just to piss off the “serious “ collectors 😎!
Great review again
wow.....stunning
Thanks for the review, Chris! This is a gorgeous watch, and ticks a lot of boxes for me. The dial is spectacular, the case is interesting, and the handset and indices are bold, yet simple. The size is perfect for me, but the price is ouch. I have a smaller wrist at 6-3/4", but prefer watches in the 42-45mm range (as long as the lug to lug is not too extreme).

@datilderek So pleased that you choose to wear watches in the 42-45mm range! Your opinion is refreshing in this current state-of-the-watch-world where KZreadrs are persistently pushing for dials less than 40mm. I, too, prefer watches in the 42mm+ case size. I am fortunate to own a Sinn U1 at 44mm and Omega Planet Ocean at 43mm both of which look spectacular on my 7 1/8" wrist. Any watch less than 41mm looks small on my wrist. I recognize the subjective essence of preferring "regular" sized watches 42mm+, and that some prefer smaller case sizes. I am thankful for YOUR opinion, however!
They are sick with the dials. I still remember seeing the msrp on one for the first time lol. Dang.
What a watch Chris, total love the brand there definitely on my wish list 😁👌👍

Scammers again 😒
Reminds me of Timex Giorgio Galli $450 & Bob's your uncle
Fits you well.
Why does it have to be so expensive. I was getting excited for a minute there. You should check out the blue planet by ciga design. That's next on my list.
mark from LIW would like that
They have a 40mm now.
I really like the color but i don't "get" the design, specially the case it looks off.
Hi, this dial is not a limited edition.
Looks almost the same as the Rotary oxford. It's so close.
If u wear it above the bone ie: not at the back of your hand it, and other Moser's, fit fine, as a owner myself. A watch company with very limited output, that tells others u know watches and not part of the herd. Buy one and it'll never disappoint looking at it.
They have to work on the hands.
One too many zeroes, yeesh.
Just too big. 40mm would be spot on.
Like Moser, but overpriced..
I'm a little late on this one but My God! what a dull dial. I seriously hate these minimalist styled watches a-la Max Bill Bauhaus garbage. Even the fume' is dull. 43mm a-la Tag Heuer? Ooof. This is as appealing to me as a Daniel Wellington. The display caseback and the movement is beautiful though. Just not my cup of tea.
Why are you even hesitating Goodness It looks Killer on your wrist Uncomfortable ? Non sense
For $15,000 I’m buying a Rolex.

It does look quite cool but a bit too big for my wrist🥲
