Pretty crazy they've removed the steer axles from the harvester. It turns like an articulating tractor now.

What is the benefit of this system?? Looks like the crop is handled more than necessary by first dumping into the equipment and then transferring to another trailer.

acts as a lag. you can run less trailers as you don't have to have one next to you all the time.

@@verovex7723 To expensive just for that purpose. But if I "guess" the region right, they have often a very wet fall and the soil gets very very muddy then (a lot of old moor). And in that case such a machine can still harvest, if normal tractor with trailer just get stuck (then the harvester would drive to the road and empty there). Look at this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qqGMlqmSfMjcqJM.html There you see also lot of "special" machines and conditions where the forage harvester needed additional traction (Clas Xerion pushing). My guess this machine is build for such conditions, not the nice dry ones shown here.

i would bet they are,, most likely by hydraulic support engines that engage when needed. Ore switchd on by the driver Here its quite certain the 4 wheels on the trailer also push thru the mud. kzread.info/dash/bejne/oZtrj6dxdKzNZag.html
