One mouse slip changed the course of this game😬|| Road to 2050 on chess.com

There is one general guideline I tried to follow which is, when your opponent launches an attack on the flank, strike back in the center. The idea is that if their attack fails, they'd be positionally lost because at that point, you most likely would've taken control of the center and have enough counterplay while they have nothing since the attack, which is all they had going on and allocated all their resources to, failed. It's the same concept behind the King's Indian defense, Black abandons the center and Queenside to get an attack against white's King, if they succeed, Black wins but if the attack fails, Black is doomed.
That was my intention but unfortunately, I mouse slipped getting a solid but passive position which meant that I'd have to sit back and defend while my opponent raged on the Kingside, would I survive? Watch to find out.
