*I am using Superhairfood Alopecia shampoo* ( w…superhairfood ) I firstly did not really believe that it could actually help my hair grow back. My expectation was to prevent further hair loss. It totally surprised me after using it for a while. My hair gets cleaner and fresher after using it for a few days. And I could see baby hair coming out after using it for a period of time. I can't tell you how excited I am right now. YOU SHOULD TRY IT!!

I have been battling alopecia for about 5 1/2 years now. For four of those years I had no hair on my head (scalp, eyebrows, and eyelashes were gone). Now it is mostly back. This is an issue that is very close to my heart and I truly appreciate seeing it talked about in such a positive way. Usually when women talk about losing their hair there is a lot of fear and crying involved (feelings I do understand) but it was refreshing to see smiles and hear laughter! Thank you so much for this!

Aaaahh! I first discovered Alopecia when I was 13. I was playing with my hair while watching TV when I felt like there was a very smooth bald spot on my head and when I asked my mom to check on me, there were several bald patches (to which I know there weren't any the day before). On prednisolone (steroids) for 5 years. Bald patches on my head, loss of body hair even eyebrows (I had no eyebrows for a year plus). I feel you. It took me years to have my hair growing at those bald patches. It's scary. Thank you for sharing your story to the world :)

My girlfriend is a big help too.

I'm not sure whether this is the case, but I could imagine that it actually helps having someone like Rose around who can teach you (Rosie) to joke about it ("Baldilocks") while obviously being on your (Rosie's) side, so it isn't malicious. Personally, I've always benefitted from me and my friends joking with each other about our issues. If someone who likes you can make fun of sth without being against you, it's much easier to learn to accept oneself.

This is really great of you, Rosie. I have scarring alopecia, so it's a little different than what you spoke about. Mine started at 19 and I'm 27 now. It took me about 6 years to stop having panic attacks over losing my hair. I didn't leave my room for the first 2 weeks and didn't go into public for months. Mine's gradual, so I kind of have to watch as I lose my hair slowly over time. Therapy never worked for me, unfortunately. I'm so glad you're sharing your story so others can be aware of the illness and feel less alone if they suffer from it.

My dad got alopecia when I was in middle school. I remember everything very clearly. I remember when he had so many patches of his hair and beard missing that he just shaved it all. He is a teacher, so when he first walked in the school completely bald, everyone laughed. They didn't know. Then his eyebrows and eyelashes and arm hair and everything eventually started going. I think once everyone is educated on the subject, they understand people's feelings more. I love that you put this out there for us to watch. Because a ton of people don't even know what it is, or know that it affects girls too. It's indeed a terrifying thing, but the cool thing about you is that you have a breathtakingly beautiful face that nobody would look at differently with or without hair. In fact, if anyone saw you walking down the street with awesomely precise eyebrows and a bandana, they'd be dumbfounded how beautiful you are. Best of luck to you. I've been watching you and Rose forever and I love you both!

I have alopecia too. I've only found one patch so far (touch wood!) but when I found it I was really scared, I'm only fourteen and didn't know what it was but then my mum explained it to me and I felt even worse. My hair has started growing back within last last couple of weeks so hopefully that'll be it because the doctor said the most common thing is to find one patch and for you to never have it again so hopefully that'll be what happens. Love you Rosie xxxxxxxx

It was really great of you to share this with us and spread awareness of the disease. Sidenote: I too have eczema and was wondering what you do to manage it as mine has been flaring up lately

I love you guys and it's great that you're raising money and trying to bring a rareness to alopecia. My little cousin who I'm extremely close to was discovered to have alopecia when she was around 3-4 (she's 19 now) and at first doctors thought that she had leukemia or lupus which made everyone in the family cry, till almost a month or two later the doctors figured out that she had alopecia. I don't remember everything about the disease but one thing I did retain is (BTW my only references are my cousin and my brother's baby mama) when the person with alopecia is stressed they start losing hair and they become very itchy and irritable. anyway just wanted to say thanks for making this video 🤗 P.S. sorry about the paragraphs ☺

I'm unable to shave because of crps (for 7 years), so my leg hair is pretty dark and long, since I'd shaved for years before I got it. I was super self conscious at first, some people would point and snicker but I realised there is nothing I can do to change it. And honestly, it's not THAT big of a deal. Yes I wish I could shave, but I have more important problems to stress out about with my health, I've gotten way better at not letting what other people (rudely) say. It's awesome that you're spreading awareness/donating, sending well wishes your way. You're gorgeous, strong and just genuinely awesome, with or without hair so don't forget it. x

Its amazing that your actually raising money for something so important, some people dont care about Alopecia, they dont think its an actual problem but it is. They're usually like 'oh, you're just losing your hair, it's not serious, you can always grow it back' I actually know people who are like this, and I have told them that people who are suffering from it cant just grow their hair back it can take years or longer it won't just come back in a day or something like that. It doesn't matter if people think it's not as important as things like cancer cause maybe it's not but just like cancer it can seriously affect someone's way of living. Last year my dad got alopecia and he's lost all his hair all over his body and he's lost a lot of his nails, he's still losing his nails. He acts like he doesn't care, but I know on the inside it's really does affected him, it may not show but I know it does affect everybody that suffers from it. I'm definitely going to donate cause Alopecia is a serious disease and more people have to realise this and start supporting others with it.
