Don't write texts to each other when you're angry. In my experience, everyone is too upset to write feelings out without hurting each other and it's the perfect way to be misunderstood. Breathe in, breathe out and wait it out for a couple of hours before actually talking about what's upsetting you. It's so much more productive.

I totally agree. Texts DO NOT show emotion and can easily be misunderstood. Trust me I know from experience. Talk to each other, put your ego aside and let you guard down and just be honest. Wonderful can happen!

TalkThruTheNight my girlfriend and I have a code word (which is" mulberries"). If we ever get too overcome with emotion (because of an argument etc) , one of us says "mulberries" and we take a thirty minute break from each other to gather our thoughts so we can talk about whatever is bugging us with a clear mind.

Great advice. Loved the "be vulnerable" bit. Been with my love for almost 30 years, married for almost 8 (as soon as it was legal in California). Letting down the barriers as soon as possible when sorting out a problem, always makes for an easier and much more quick resolution. You are spot on and really seem to know yourself.......Best of luck now and always. Happy almost 3 months. Every day counts.
