remember years ago when my friend told me about this show, i immediately got obsessed with it. i then shared it with my mom. it becomes her favorite show. 2019 she got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. brooklyn 99 is the only thing that makes her smile during chemotherapy. she loves holt🥰 sadly, her condition keeps getting worse. most of her brain function has been damaged. she’s can’t remember anything… :( however, i’m still so excited for the new season, but i’m so sad this is the last. thank you brooklyn 99❤️ *update: my mother passed away on september 14th, 2021. but thanks for all the love and support. y’all are amazing..

Final season predictions: Holt becomes Commissioner. Terry is promoted to Captain of the 99. Amy becomes Detective-Sergeant. Boyle resigns from the NYPD to start a detective agency/catering business. Rosa starts an open, bi relationship with Adrian Pimento. After saving Bruce Willis' life, Jake is offered a job at the FBI, which he declines to stay at the 99. Hitchcock and Scully are still there.

When I first watched this series I wasn't a fan, but around seasons 3 and especially 4 it *really* started to hit its stride and the humour just perfectly blended with the characters and emotions, it's probably one of the last good remaining shows on television. Upsetting to see it end, but I'm glad it won't drag on like a lot of other series of its time.

End of modern sitcoms with this one. I’m sad it’s ending but it’s also prudent to quit while ahead. Will always love this show and will continue to rewatch for years to come.

Also , i am not sure the OP was really comparing the shows. Friends was undoubtably the show of the 90s generation, even if a lot of people think Seinfeld was funnier.

I've been watching Brooklyn 99 for the past 2 and a half week seasons 1-7. My friend recommended it to me and the show never failed to make me laugh. Wonderful experience, I'm gonna miss the squad and all the casts. 😭❤️

Started watching the show just 5 days on Netflix and now I'm not ready for this to end. Season 8 lacks a lot of things.. No Gina, Hitchcock or Rosa at the 99. That's a sad sight already

@@vinayak5159 but that’s what’s kind of mind blowing about it - there’s a ton of different representation in the characters, yet they largely just had normal existences that didn’t entirely center around that one aspect of their being. It’s fresh and mind blowing simply because it’s fundamentally a normal sitcom.

Wasn't Gina shown in the trailer next to a huge sign that said "GINA?" I haven't watched this show for a few seasons, so I'm not sure if that footage is proof she'll be back or if that was footage from before she left the show.

Every year, on Halloween, I expect a new one episode season with just the heist.

It's a travesty that there isn't 1 more season with 9 episodes.

I bet he'll be an unseen character in the A plot with Jake always just missing seeing him. And at the end he'll barely glimpse some bald guy walking away and declare it the greatest moment of his life.

Honestly, this show should've lasted longer than the entirety of TBBT imo.

Nah it should be Hitchcock and Scully. They have been there since the start, we know they used to be absolute beasts as detectives once, they deserve that last moment to shine. Them or Boyle.
