I'm french. He says " Jaillit " which translate to erupt. Just sharing an Anti-Victor strat : for the 22222 string (or any glock involved string) . On block, you can interrupt every option out of stance with a jab save for the powercrush but you'll still have time to block if you just do a single jab.

I actually appreciate the fact my brother picked up Victor. My brother is a VERY strong fighting game player, and he doesn't mash. He's good at pokes, frame traps, conditioning, and not falling for attempts to condition him. His Victor is scary because he doesn't just spam safe strings. This means I play my brother, get my shit pushed in hard, then go into ranked and basically moon walk all over everyone because it's like going from ultra hard mode to easy mode.

It’s weird how much I see Lars considered a beginner character. IMO Victor is THE beginner character. He was the first character I tried when the game launched, and it’s one of the easiest times I’ve had playing a character in Tekken.

I would say lars if you know how to use his 2 down forward holding forward to keep his low attacks coming and when people start to block low than go for mid into heat rush into 3+4 dash to a 50/50

Because he is fairly easy (for a stance character at least), but also teaches you a lot about the game. With Victor you probably only learn how to steamroll people with his very easy and strong tools, but as soon as people start to counter you, you have no defense to rely on. With Lars, even though he is easier and stronger in this game than in t7, you still mostly rely on good reads and baits for your damage, and his punishment tools are quite strong, which rewards actual good defense I might be a bit biased as someone playing Lars as a 2nd main, but that's how i see it at least

Yep - I was going to play him as my secondary, but he’s too OP. I don’t play OP characters. I’m okay though - I main Lars. (sigh) It’s a shame too - he’s a beautiful man, but I can’t with a scrub character. I have my dignity.

Did you also notice that the 1 button spam is easy neutralized by just stand blocking? Yeah he is easy to play as a beginner, but its also easy to counter if you just stand still and punish. The only lows he has you are slow, you should be able to deal with them.

I’m thinking of moving my main to Yoshimitsu now that I’m comfortable with Viktor. He helped a lot in helping me learn Tekken mechanics. I have also been playing my ghost to learn how to counter his bullsh*t. Since I’m a new player learning Yoshi from scratch will be a nightmare but I’m willing to suffer for it.

Don't be intimidated by Yoshi! A lot of his mains say he is really difficult, and while that is true to an extent, it only really applies in situations where you are playing against someone with very good defense imo. Most of the learning process with this character is really fun anyways, it's about creativity and reading your opponent's behavior; i feel like there's always something new to learn and play around with every time i boot up the game. Try not to focus too much on offense tho, at least in the beginning, because i run into so many yoshi players who have like no defence at all, and that's only going to cost you in the long run... Sry for rambling on for such a long time, but i hope you have fun with the character! :)

Literally the first attack you did at the beginning on practice mode, I was like “is that an older Noctis??”😅

this is equivalent to when mainman played with noctis in ranked

Speaking of cheese, that reminds me of the general thoughts on Tekken 7 characters video, TheMainManSWE: “God of cheese, absolute god of cheese (Lei)” I’ll miss hearing it 😂

It took 5 seconds for that 1st Asuka we've seen to use b3.

The only thing I complain about Victor is his laser katana. I feel like it should have been something like a fencer sword or just the daggers + pistol. As a Yoshi main I like the background mutual respect Victor has for him, and have alot of fun against Victor fights in general.

I got my ass absolutely demolished by a Victor player and after every round the guy KI charged on me after pressing 2 troughout the whole match.

Quick question, why do you side step before doing the second df4,2 on juggles? You can get the full combo off without a small side step in between.

im a victor on shinryu rank and trust me when i say , U CANT SPAM WITH HIM !!!! while other chars have a lot 12/13 Frame attacks where they can simply spam , victor really doesnt , which means i need to be actually very careful which inputs i do , that 2222222 spam TMM does only works (as he said ) with people who A : doesnt know the match up and B: ONLY IN LOW RANKS WOULD U SEE THIS FLY , i dont even use that combo in my flowcharts (except maybe 2 , 2 - last 2 where he pulls the glock is to unsafe bcos people DUCK , so unless my first 2,2 string hit that the pistol is guaranteed ) those chip dmg numbers u mention , my boy , i wish i had always the option to just do running 2 (FFF2) but its sidestepable and on top of that , who in his right mind does another FFF2 after a FFF2 , are u begging to be launched ????? so again , what main man is displaying here is simply his biased view on a char he simply doesnt like and in his usual fashion and manner , he will down talk him , throw words like cheese and stuff in there... ohh u dont like that he has some unique moves /features? have u looked at the rest of the cast ? i know u did and even u said it yourself TMM , everyone has something outstanding from the rest which would appear to others as sneaky slimy cheesy ... jeez , but yeah i will say this , im quite suprised when i saw the data that victor is 3rd most picked char in the game , i myself havent met alot , those that i met , still stuck in green/yellow ranks , who indeed try to cheese their way into rank but it simply doesnt work anymore after a certain rank , this is why i dont understand the downplay from tmm , VICTOR has deepth and from what i do and see from other pro victors , also high execution requirement

If you want a combo that at least demands an execution from victor, this is at least one ff2 > df3,4 > db1,1f > 2,2,1 > ff2 > ender, this one is intermediate because you have to deep dash into the ff2 to get the bound. Or Standard combo > bound > qcf2 > Iai 1,2,2

When i play against a auska that spams perry i always buffer the chicken..i tried to chicken her yesterday and it wouldn't work..did they chanage the input or you cant buffer it? What is going on?

I'm pretty sure chicken is gone. But throws are now unbreakable if the opponent is doing a reversal, so just use throws or knees/elbows/headbutts i guess

Yes, -5. It's still very linear though with tons of recovery frames on whiff, and very easy to float even by accident
