One Good Deserves Another | Guna Jataka | Animated Buddhist Stories

#Watsanfran #Jataka #Guna
Guna Jataka (Jataka #157)
A jackal decides to save a dying lion. The lion responds in an unexpected way.
Wat San Fran is proud to present stories taken from the Jatakas, Dhammapada, and Buddhist history. These stories often use past rebirth (jataka) stories to reveal the connection between past and present, and illustrate the relationship between cause and effect.
Check out the playlist #AnimatedBuddhistStories by Wat San Fran to explore the complete series.

The Bodhisatva seems to have evolved during his time of practicing the Paramis. At times he would not kill even as a predator, but other times he would kill to eat meat. At times he would completely sacrifice himself , and others he would stay away form people who hurt him. Its always astounding to think of the difficulties he had to undergo just to teach us the truth. May the Bodhisatvas great effort/sufferings not be wasted by us mere mortals. May the watsanfran group be blessed with good health, and prosperity for the effort you put into spreading the Buddhas words, which were born out of incalculable eons of pain.🙏

🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 So touching …it bought tears at the end when the Buddha said that Ananda was the Jackal that saved his life…and his kamma for that must have been to be the Buddha’s attendant and hear all his teachings. Thanks so much for uploading

This video is truly heartwarming! It's amazing to see how this jackal went out of its way to save the lion, despite being natural enemies. And the lion's response was unexpected but so beautiful. It just goes to show that even in the animal kingdom, acts of kindness and compassion can happen. Thank you for sharing this inspiring story with us! 🙏🙏🙏
