I love that Capitals jersey. Copper is certainly underused! Lots of teams could fit some copper into their current color schemes. Love all Thrashers jerseys too.

Shannon you KNOW the LA Coat of Arms jersey should be the main logo, it is slightly better than the second best crown logo. The Coat of Arms works so incredibly well with the color scheme, design, and Los Angeles word mark along the bottom. It's perfection.

For the New Jersey Devils, i watched an old promo that showed some footage of the press conference for when they were first moving from Colorado, this is the same press conference where they debuted that early version of the logo as well, they showed a concept jersey that was red and green and it had a New Jersey diagonal work mark, not that far off from the NY Rangers. They never wore it on ice, but I know it existed.

For the Kings, I loved the Purple coat of arms jersey that they had from 2002-2007. I was disappointed when Reebok dropped it.

That Oilers jersey you pulled up.....when it originally debuted in 1996, it had an awesome blue yoke with copper n red stripes bordering it. The yoke only lasted one season. That 1996 white was a thing of beauty that everyone forgets

I can agree 💯 about those particular Ducks jerseys being underrated and even forgotten from 1997-2000 whether it’s the white or jade version. Another underrated jersey in franchise history is the ANAHEIM Mighty Ducks alternate worn from 2003-06.

I LOVE that Blues Jersey!! I bought my son a Paul Kariya one. Don't remember if he actually wore that one, but he's a HOFer and that's an AWESOME Jersey.

I'm a Sharks fan and went to a game on my birthday when Paul Kariya and the Blues were in town. It was so weird seeing him in a jersey other than an Anaheim one.

As a Blues fan, I agree with you wholeheartedly on wanting that dark blue third jersey back! If I recall correctly, the Tom Stillman-led ownership didn't like this jersey (as it was introduced by the previous ownership group) and opted to discontinue it and eventually replace it the light blue, Winter Classic-style jersey. My wife and I have blanks of the dark blue third (I also own the light blue third, but no standard jerseys) and I'm doing my best to keep them in great condition as long as possible - not having the chance to go to a game for the last couple of seasons has (unfortunately) helped with that.

Oilers I would have gone with the copper and blue era white jersey with the shoulder yolk. You don't see it often, even in Edmonton. I think they only used it for a season or two. Love seeing the jersey videos!!

Love the Canucks 80’s skate jerseys. Very underrated.

I kinda think the yellow Vancouver skate jersey is very underrated. The shoulders being a V is super cool and it just looks so retro

Ironically those were my favorite Mighty Ducks jersey; I also loved that era of Islanders uniforms. The Thrashers have had some of my favorite designs, they're all incredible and that alternate one you presented was the only jersey with front numbers that I really liked, mainly because of the large shoulder logos.

One of the things I have learned since subscribing to the The Hockey Guy, is that it is cool to have more than one favorite team. While I live and die with the Blues, I am officially adopting the Toronto Maple Leafs as my second team. And with that, I am admitting I must be the only Leafs fan on earth who actually LIKES the old 70's jerseys, the logo of which Shannon displayed today. I think he was wearing a version of that jersey just the other day. It reminds me of Dave Keon and Darryl Sittler. I love those jerseys and that logo, even if no one else in Maple Leafs Nation agrees. There, I said it and I'm not sorry! 😄👍🏾

I agree, love both logos to be honest. The old one looks sharp and clean while I love the "new" logo because of the details and more of a classic look with it being a throwback to when they actually won stuff. But since I became a fan in 2013 I can understand why most fans hate it because it hasn't been a fun time being a fan when that logo was around lmao

I liked the balance and freshness to the Preds' sweater change a decade back, but I never liked the piping on either jersey. It just framed the front/back out like a tombstone. Ideal Preds jersey home/away for me would be using the skull as the main crest, with navy as the main color, and bringing the silver back full-time, with gold as an accent.

Sharks did a great thing when they were in the finals against the Penguins - where the shark ate the penguin, which resulted in their logo. Underrated PR

That Nucks sweater is a nice mix between the Vs and the 90s sweaters, it's my absolute favorite one and I need both the black and gold one in my collection some day.

The Penguins 2 tone jersey is one that has really grown on me ever since the stadium series. Very underated jersey imo

The Sabres Heritage Jersey looks so good..the Canucks one with the Vs on the shoulders I remember very well..I like that one a lot

I like the 1993 -94 Dallas Stars with the "kelly green" the next season they added Dallas above the STARS script and the green became a couple shades darker.

The Calgary Stampeders' 'Outlaw' jerseys and helmet were awseome

I'm a long time Blues fan. And I do like the blues Jersey, but I think it would have looked better without the circle and name and just had the blues note, larger of course and a large arch behind it. And I've always liked the red wings Jersey with the large D .

I have that Canadiens jersey and aside from their red jersey that one might be my favorite. The reverse retro is a beauty too.

The Thrashers jerseys imo were pretty nice. That Capitals jersey I think was pretty nice as well and with that shoulder patch too paired with the main logo and colors, a nice jersey and one of the best imo for the Caps.

The Edmonton Oilers 1997 white jersey is often a forgotten jersey. They had a blue yoke on the shoulders for 1 season .

When I see that Phoenix jersey, I think of Wayne Gretzky. Nobody talks much about his coaching career, but when he coached the Coyotes, they wore those uniforms. Compare that Carolina jersey to the home whites of the Cleveland Barons. I'm old enough that first time I saw the Canes in those, I thought "Cleveland Barons". The Penguins ones are awful. The "gold" on it looks like it should be called "urine yellow". But if you try to substitute a 80's Jets jersey for those 70's Rangers, you have to make sure they use the correct font for the numbers, because the Rangers version had weird numbers.

I'm an LA Kings fan that moved to St. Louis 5 years ago and that St. Louis jersey is my favorite!!!! Yeah, I'd love to see it or a similar version come back.

A great was to add a subtle "Flying V" to any iteration of the uniforms, is the V they had on the pants, instead of a stripe.

I'd like to see the Habs do a black jersey someday. Same toilet seat logo. Multiple choice on whether or not to use the flag of Thailand on the sleeves (maybe flip it and have blue stripes on the outside and a white one in between). I had a black Habs jacket as a kid and always thought the logo looked really sharp on a black backdrop. The dark blue reverse retro gave us a hint of that.

What I like about the jersey videos, is that when I see an older jersey, it reminds me of a player that would wear it.

Canucks salmon red skate jersey. It was their first "third" jersey and I loved it!

I wish that Copper and Blue mid 90s/mid 2000s end up the 3rd jersey for Edmonton. It was a sharp jersey and their 2nd best look after the royal blue with orange shoulder bars.

17:25 - I mean, they wore that logo for some 45 years (!!!!); that's more than two whole generations!! One cannot just "erase" that from their history or people's memories. Yeah, they didn't win any Cups whilst wearing this (in a league that has like gazillion teams), but still, one must admit that the eras of Sittler-Salming, of Gilmour, and of Sundin were a lot of fun nonetheless.

That’s the “burnt orange” (official name) Flyers jersey that isn’t popular around here. They’ve never had a secondary logo so it doesnt really fit and the sleeves are on par with the terrible Reebok ones. The only memory attached to these is the Friday Night Fights game vs. Ottawa. I could see using that shade of orange again but on the 80s-90s classic.

Could you do a top ten jerseys for each decade?

Yes, it seems like every team has a black third jersey, but man I love me a black Chicago jersey (not the bland monochromatic winter classic one, however). Wish the regular black or even the 2009 winter classic was part of the rotation.

Every team could go back to their look from the 90s and the majority would look better than they do now.

Not nor ever will be I be a Bruins fan, but I wish they’d go back to the 67/68 uniforms, those were the best Boston’s ever had (and yes that includes the white socks for both home and away).

I've bought a few fake jerseys but I knew when I bought them. But they are still pretty nice. Got them cheap. Cost me about $25-35. But I've seen some sellers have garage fakes.

Older vid, 2nd or 3rd watch. NJ Should add a small piping of green in there. Maybe something like Vegas has in red. Also, they've done green & red / red and black both as primaries... why not green & black with red as a 3rd complimentary... could be tight and a completely different feel without really stepping outside at all... unlike the Jersey jersey.

This was a great idea for a video, but unfortunately, I was kinda expecting Shannon to go "Remember when they wore this monstrosity???". Instead, we mostly have 30 jerseys with changed stitching or changed colours. I do miss the original Ducks logo. Disney movies aside, it does look cool.
