This video shows the Wall Wash Exercise and how it helps stabilize your shoulder, preventing injuries while relieving neck and shoulder pain. If you're a swimmer, play tennis, or have ever hurt your shoulder while putting your luggage in an overhead been, then you need this video. Shoulder pain is oftentimes caused by the shoulder not staying in a protected, stable position when we reach for things. Because of this, we tend to stress the rotator cuff muscles and traps. This leads to neck and shoulder pain, and even injuries that require surgery. To know the best way to move your shoulder when reaching overhead, Craig Zuckerman created this video showing an easy exercise that trains and re-educates your shoulder to move properly and prevent pain.

    Apply the mechanics you learn with the exercise to any time you reach up for something. Like grabbing food off the shelf. Getting a box down out of the garage. Just keep you elbow inward and your shoulder down and you should feel the serratus muscle engaged under your armpit. Then you know your shoulder is secured.
