They did actually do the occasional simple fun dance routine, well more of a memorable move in unison. Which worked well in music. Ideas and actually had them stand out as a boy band that doesn't do big choreography, but focuses their strengths elsewhere. :)

Harry's shoulder dislocation attempt will always be one of the most iconic moments of One Direction.

I don’t think Louis sang any harmonies, his voice just wasn’t that good in their X-Factor days. Later you can hear his beautiful and unique voice in all of their songs but I think he never was much into singing harmonies.

He also DID have the strongest audition, I think he just had the most experience, once Harry and Zayn in particular got a little vocal coaching and experience, their voices really started to shine.

@Elsa Morales He was the best singer when they formed the band on X-Factor but that quickly changed and especially Harry and Zayn were on the same level with him. And it’s not only about vocals, personality is important too. I think Liam never really realised that he only was the 1D front man during their first weeks on X-Factor. After that he was “only” one of them.

Props to Liam starting every song. His voice was so reliable. Harry was starting to blossom and his star power coming out. Zayn has a superb voice and got better & better. Niall was slowly getting confident and Louis was Louis! His voice WAS the weakest, but he got better later. The group needed him, his flamboyant personality and leadership.

Liam had the most experience and the most mature voice when the started not to mention the best audition, so that’s why he got more parts. Harry just got more parts because he was more marketable. He was already the most popular on the show and it has been that way ever since.

The things I'd do to experience their whole timeline together as one of them. I wish I knew all the secrets stuff that went down behind the scenes and how they felt during their whole journey. How they felt when they saw each other audition, how their friendships evolved, how they saw us, fans, and how they felt when they performed and traveled the world together. These boys are really life changing. Their story is fantastic and I wish I knew every single thing about it.

For some reason "Throw sherbert at them" has been in my head the last few days and now im here so deep in my feels again. Gosh i gave so much of my time to these boys and i do not regret a single moment, theyve really helped shaped who i am. I was proud of them then and im still proud of them separately now but nothing will beat the almost manic feeling of experiencing this band grow in the earliest stages 😍😭

those were the times when Liam always started the songs, Harry always sang the chorus (along with the other boys but he was most coherent), Zayn did some runs while Niall and Louis just hummed along the rhythm😂

i’m so glad when they got out of x factor that they started giving way more solos to niall and louis i love all of their voices sm but niall and louis had few to no solos this whole video still sounded amazing tho i just need my fix of louis and niall 😌

I don't know if you like them or not, but if ever you get to see this, admit it you are here because you missed them! It's almost 10 years and I am still so in love with them. I never thought nor expect to love 5 guys at the same time but One Direction taught me how!!🤧 I missed you lads!!

Liam slayed every one of these x factor performances. Gotta love him. They all got better and better with every song and all of their harmonies are just beautiful.. 💓
