Eleanor Smith Matt Cardle was the winner. He is so, so much better than One Direction. His voice is just gorgeous and his songs are great. And the second finalist was Rebecca Ferguson- she is stunning too, and has beautiful, touching songs. But it's my opinion, I don't want to insult 1D fans or something. I just think that they aren't very good band, you don't have to agree of course. Have a good day :)

like it's so funny now how intense the beginning is and how little they knew that they were going to be the world's biggest boyband.

Its so crazy rewatching this over ten years later... damn i was abt nine at the time of this final and i remember parts of it so well.

I have no words to describe how i feel right now😢 amazing

Simon KNEW he had something big and that he had plugged into the teenage girl fan base that has blown up all the boy bands in the past - until those boy bands fade into obscurity. Nothing against 1D...I just can't think of one boy band that has stood the test of time. Some individuals of boy bands have gained longevity in the music biz, like Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake. But Simon knew by the hordes of fans that were already being gained - and following in the footsteps of every boy band in existence - that he would make billions. Dude knows what he's doing.

Heart Maker this is life. my mom told me when she was small there was a very very famous band and people used to love it. and then they just broke up. it was like 1d, one left then another left slowly

They're not breaking up. Zayn just left. The other 4 are on breakand they're coming back together soon.
