I discussed it in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iX2FzKp_eKfbhrw.html In short, it's getting chilly and rainy in that part of the country, whereas it's perfect weather up north, better for exploring and filming.

Thank you so much Gabe for all your hard work putting these videos together. I am really enjoying this series from Australia!
not sure what your plans are in Brisbane, but a good day trip is Stradbroke Island (you can book a day trip), Tangalooma Islands you can snorkel amongst shipwrecks (may want to book accommodation for one night as its a bit of hike from here), if you are in central brisbane there is Southbank as its called with museums and free 'beach pool',. Mt cootha where you get a full view of brisbane and there is a cafe there and there are small hiking tracks, then one hour either north or south of brisbane there is the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast with their own sets of beaches! No crocs there!

I love straddie! So easy to do so cheap, without a tour, just catch train to cleveland, ferry walk on & use the circular bus for the day. Then a beer at the pub on the hill overlooking the ocean after doing the gorge walk. tops!
Wow what an great experience and water is look so inviting.look forward to more information on your adventures 😊
Reminds me of my trips to Lady Elliot island (twice) on the Great Barrier Reef ❤ Listen to the noisy birds in the background. It’s so Aussie 🇦🇺
Fantastic video Gabe
Wow Cairns has changed a lot since I was there 20yrs ago! You’ll learn a lot about Captain Cook if you travel down the coast for any length of time, there’s no avoiding him!!! Much better towns to go see the barrier reef from too , Airlie beach for one. Enjoy.
Theres no beach in brisbane, go nearby to the Gold coast its better then Brisbane with great beaches to swim with no crocs or jellyfish

Gabriel, great adventure, thank you for shearing interesting video. waiting next video. Chaos
Awesome Gabe! Loving the Australia videos. Will visit there one of these days.
*I'm soo loving your thumbnails on your videos. 🥰*
You’ve got to out to the reef . Most of these islands are not part of the reef structure where all the beauty and fish are.
Again another great tour video! 👍
New thumbnails looking great! Enjoying this Aussie series of videos.
Thank you for sharing Gab
Fantastic video🤩
Having followed you for some time it's cool to see you in my home country. Enjoy your time in Australia
Those islands typically pricy on food due to import from the mainland. Hire a car visit the mountain called Atherton Tablelands.
Great video. Enjoying watching your travels. Desperately trying to see if I recognise or remember anything from when I was there in 1986. Looking forward to your next videos. Thanks.
I live in Cairns and it really is the best place to live. Great weather, beautiful scenery in all directions and a nice lifestyle. I’d recommend actually going to the outer reef or Fitzroy instead of Green Island (it’s the last place I recommend for people going out on the reef) but it still looks like you had a nice day. If you can, get to the Atherton Tablelands or the Daintree - my favourite places in the region.
My jumping off place for the Great Barrier Reef was Port Douglas. Then we took a wave piercer out almost 45 minutes to the reef to snorkel. A-mazing!
@pl434
Жыл бұрын
Correction.........it took an hour and 45 minutes to get to the reef where we snorkeled. Well worth the long trip out. We were told the reef is strictly controlled and they grant only a certain number of permits to be able to dive and snorkel. I remember the platform being owned by a company called Quicksilver. I am not sure if it has any affiliation to the clothing company of the same name. Gabe, are you going to try to visit at least the edge of the Outback? Definitely worth the experience. We also visited an Aboriginal community, but prepare a bit in advance because travel into some Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities require a permit, similar to visiting a National Park. Well worth the information received from the native people-so interesting. I would not leave Australia without a deeper understanding of the Aboriginal people.
I think it was 2016 near Cairns when a woman was strolling in knee deep surf after dark with a friend and a saltwater crocodile drug her under and killed her. Really horrifying. They are not critters to be trifled with. I am loving this Australian adventure.

Please go to Central Australia .. as an Australian I believe you have not seen this country until you see Central Australia. Uluru , The Olga's and swimming holes. Sadly Alice Springs is troubled right now. I lived in Cairns for many years. Rusty's Markets in Grafton Street is great for fruit, veg and take away food. Mossman Gorge is worth checking out and the drive along the coast road is beautiful .

That's why people only stay there for a short time because it's so damn expensive. Its also voted the richest country in the world and even tops Dubai and the housing market is off the scales too!!
They have a beautiful swimming lagoon in Cairns..it is really nice there.
I love Cairns ❤️. I've been there about 6 times.Port Douglas to the north and Mission Beach to the south.
The food prices are disgusting, $47.00 for what ? It didn't even look like a decent meal.
Well done Sir! I've lived in Queensland all of my life and have never visited Green Island. Thanks for showing it to me.
enjoy the reef its the best!! yes the waterways up north of QLD are filled with crocs so definitely stay away where there is signage.
Wonderful sights Gabriel 👍 Especially enjoyed that lit Island, I can see myself there walking on the beach, drinking a cocktail of my choice.🌸🌴
The weather in Cairns is so nice
Nice weather beautiful island 🏝
Wow the hotel is expensive 😳
You came to my home town! lots of love
1:45 We traveled to Green Island yesterday on that very same boat, the "Reef Rocket", but you couldn't stand in the front where you were because of the massive wind and waves. The island itself was pretty cool. We chose the glass bottom boat to view the coral reef.
The Daintree is awesome up there, i saw cassowaries the huge flightless bird just walking at the side of the road.
Cool thumbnails you’ve had recently! Cheers
Thanks!

Hi Gabriel enjoy cairns its a beautiful part of Australia have fun x😂
They used to have underwater observatory at green island where there were resident clown fish. That was in the 80 ‘ s. Palm Beach and York’s knob good for picturesque drive and Atherton tablelands ..curtain fig tree and the horrible cane toads at dusk!
Kuranda butterfly farm would be a nice outing while up that way , Mosman gorge near Port Douglas is beautiful , also the Daintree Forest across the Daintree river and then to Cape Tribulation !
Enjoying the Australian excursion. Still sticker shocked though at the food...$30 for lettuce burger, fries, smoothie and desert.....wow. I am getting like my Dad was...constantly trying to catch up to modern pricing..!
Man you sure know how to have a good time I hope Australia is what you expected , please go to the outback if you can ,
Also FYI you can sometimes see crocs sunning themselves in the city on the mudflats. It's not for swimming just like you wouldn't get into the Harbour at Darling Harbour and swim. But the beaches in Cairns are 15mins North of the city centre & are absolutely beautiful. I would recommend swimming in nets though and always be CrocWise.
So many amazing waterfalls and waterholes around there. Cant wait till you hire a car and get out to all the good stuff!
Hope you enjoy our country Gabriel; as we enjoy having you! 😁
Lovely mate..
Oh Gabe i envie and i thank you at the same time for this wonderful video!!!💖💖✌✌👌👌👍👍✨✨
47 bucks for that?! You've been paying some outrageous prices on your trip Gabriel, as a local I had no idea tourists were being gouged so badly. A little local knowledge sure does go a long way when it comes to eating well and inexpensively.

❤ best traveler ever x
Cozumel looks really good. Should have gone back there!!!
Love the Australian videos, but can’t wait for you to go back to Greece.
Impressed is a cool name for inspiring people to take in the best food options. Wow! totally impressed! pineapple smoothie or what have you. the boysenberry ice cream looks yummy too!
If you go to Brisbane, the Australia Zoo is a must.
Crazy to see that croc sign. Just so many critters there that can punch your ticket.
I'm so glad you put on a scuba suit LOL
Great barrier reef best snorkeling I've ever done
If you go on a tour of the Harbour and mangroves, usually crocs are just around the corner from the Cairns beach, and they do sometimes go out into the ocean.
Such a beautiful, cool, and laid back Island. I can't get over the veggie and fries for $31.00 wow.😮
Good video, There used to be a lot of fish around Green Island as depicted in your Mexican video about 20-30 years ago. It may also be seasonal and tide related as well. If you go to Kuranda you can get the train up via the waterfall and the sky rail back for about 100.00 Aud. Otherwise you can save some money buy getting the public bus up from the CBD for 7 bucks and the sky rail back down to Smithfield for 50 bucks, where you catch a public bus back to the CBD. P.s The turtles are mainly around Lady Musgrave Island off Bundaberg.
are you going to go into the outback, Gabriel? cant wait to see more wilderness. dont get lost this time!
you are living the dream
I've always wanted to visit Cairns, as well as the Whitsunday Islands, both of which are in Northern Queensland. Cairns reminds me somewhat of Naples, Fla, except that Naples has nice beaches bordering the city. The weather looks ideal, and the Great Barrier Reef is obviously a must see. The weird thing for us North Americans about Australia is that it gets warmer and more tropical the further north you go. It seems counter-intuitive. Anyways, enjoy the rest of your stay down under and keep up the great work with the videos!

Every thing is the opposite in the Southern Hemisphere. The further South you go it gets colder because the closer you get to Antartica. Fun fact you may or may not know: In the Northern Hemisphere--- water swirls down the drain in a counter-clockwise direction. In the Southern Hemisphere---water swirls down the drain clock-wise. Everything is backwards.

Or at least have all kinds of limits and restrictions to what you can do there. I agree....it is too wonderful, a real jewel---- to allow any destruction there, from man, boats, etc.

Unfortunately coral reefs are dying mostly because of the global warming, I know healthy coral reefs in Egypt which are right next to popular hotels, but where is a cold water current, and I've seen dead coral reefs in Indian Ocean where tourists are rare, but the average water temperature is about 30 degrees Celsius.
You are making me feel homesick. Been living in the UK since 2009. Another nasty creature in Cairns is the blue ringed Octopus. You should head up to Kuranda, and if you have a car go to Cape Tribulation.

I don't know if it is the sort of thing that floats your boat but there is an amazing tank/armour museum there in Cairns.
The beaches are just north of Cairns. Yorkeys, Trinity Beach and Palm Cove.
Gabriel, if you spend more time in Sydney again this trip you should go to Shelly Beach in Manly if you want good snorkelling. Its a beautiful 10 minute walk along a sea wall from south end of Manly beach. Lots of different fish, stingrays, cuttlefish. Beautiful little beach with amenities and great view looking back towards Manly and more Northing beaches further in the distance.
Living the dream 👍👏✌️
Those boat crew are backpackers from all over the world
Great content as usual.. Re Brisbane (Brisvagas), you will hear about walking 'Southbank and Howard Smith Wharves'. Tip, these are much better enjoyed at night. Also there's great rainforest hiking with caves canyons and waterfalls around 'Springbrook' about an hours drive south. From there it's about another 30 min on to our famous Gold Coast beaches.
