I was brought here by The Impossible, but since you mentioned this is us, which is unprecedented for me , I'm interested.

reminds me of when I was 19 and pregnant ...dumped at 2 months ...Raised him alone and know I have this amazing young man that I am so proud of ... we r 1 ....the father never in full returned for him ...sad

I like how the lyrics are from the opposite perspective of U2's lyrics. This version takes the blame and it feels a little more sincere.. I'm so sorry for hurting the one I love so much !

Lyrics are slightly wrong. Damien switched perspective: changed "you" to "I". "I asked to enter, and then I made you crawl..."

It’s been 10 years since “Lo Impossible “ came out.When the first time I heard this song was watching the trailer of this movie. It’s so impressive of his voice with the movie. This song literally makes me want to cherish every moment of my life while I was listening, it’s so touching while getting a little bit depressing.

This song makes me remind myself in my mind life is important you have to live life. Live while your young. Live until you die... Life's a roller-coaster a box of chocolates you might say. This is the song which makes you think about life. Life is precious. Every moment counts...

Right they’re music is always on point

Loved that he changed the lyrics to match his voice and style. The replacement of "you" in the original to "I" in this cover changed it from being an angry tone to a remorseful, sad version. It is truely a brilliant cover! Thanks btw for making me watch the trailer for "the impossible", looks interesting! =)

I love the U2 song, of course. But, I love how as soon as you hear the faint opening guitar note you know its Damien Rice and for me that means I may not be dancing in my seat. but Im going to feel every single word he says. A cover is not meant to be a duplicate, you're supposed to put your mark on it and I think he did a brilliant job of that.

7 years later and this cover still makes my chest hurt oh my

Since the tragedy in Newtown on Friday, I have been so shocked and devastated. The tone of this song is definitely resonating all that I am feeling. very emotional song.

This is a very interesting cover. Damien has transferred the feelings of guilt and helplessness to himself; from “you” to "I”: “You say love is a temple, love the higher law. I ask you to enter, then I make you crawl.” This has enabled him to replace the wronged, anguished tone of the original with a confession like tone filled with sadness and hues of guilt in between. I for one like this cover!

I finally found the cover, I listened it in a NBC´s serie named "This is us". Beautifull version!!! congrats

I absolutely love this song. If an apocalypse ever happens I will sing this song down the road out in the country. This song is soothing and very sad to me. Though the message is beautiful. This song is quite emotional. There's so much meaning in this love song. Or if you have no one and your all alone.
