yeah i tried that on my first build. but wasnt really good because the correlate to much. sometimes you dont get bran and you are stuck with a boomboss in your hand that you can not play.

Deepminer Brann is what Mograine wishes to be. The ultimate control tool, to the point that if it’s played on curve and you’re not dead, the game is essentially over through pure inevitability.

@@Uefeti at least those cards have a counter besides just aggro. Granted, it's Reno, so it's one card in a highlander deck, but that's something. There's just no way to turn Brann off.

Man i was hoping to never see Brann with Astalor again, but now its better than ever. I cant wait till it rotates I'm actually so tired of hearing his on play voice line.

Tbh i feel like they should change this to something like "your battlecries trigger twice for the next 3 turns". But im very glad they are adding more highlander cards

Any limited duration makes it unplayable. First of the turn is probably best way to balance it. Or they wait 2 months and most of the problem battlecry minions rotate put

I'm generally not one to complain about HS shenanigans, but if old Brann was a problem, why on earth would they think a permanent Brann would be OK? It would even be marginally better if the strategies were fun to see, but it's just Astalor which is boring.

Because it's in Warrior, a class not known for doing disgusting things like other classes tend to. When Astalor rotates in a few months, how will the deck win?

Yes but warrior can still play neutral battlecry just like astalor so either the devs will release another good neutral battlecry at some point and brann will be broken again. Or the fact that brann exist will limit their design decisions and they won't print new strong neutral battlecry because "it would be too broken in warrior" and so all the classes will suffer because of it

@@hirowix3334 and that isnt enough, people are overhyping brann too much, currently most warrior decks are easily delt with with either aggro cause warrior is just using a discount control deck cause of the highlander restriction, or druid...who is just broken at this point.

I play this deck but more than half of my games i get brann in my last 10 cards, so its mid af

might have thrown the phone after that dirty rat brawl combo high roll.

Imagine another Brann card being broken. Its a shame the design team cant learn from their mistakes. kind of embarrassing at this point.

They're going to nerf it eventually. The past few expansions they've been putting out insanely OP cards on release to get people to buy, and then after a month they nerf it back to what it was supposed to be.

There is no way he does, dude has been in 20+% of decks since his release and is not a very interesting card gameplay wise, it also forces heavy powercreep on neutral legendaries because any "deck filler" type would have to compete with him

You know that blizzard ruined the balance of the game when extreme disruption is meta to run in every deck.

Been playing this. Can confirm it is busted but so are many other things. Uncontrollable paladins now with windfury, token flood druid still hard to deal with and then warlocks otking you from an empty board t6 while you have a big board and over 40 health. Standard is the new wild. And they nerfed a stupid slow easy to counter highlander weapon on shaman. GG Blizzard. This version is missing a very strong piece which is Odyn. With the 8 mana warrior card that deals 5 damage and gains 8 armour on the battlecry, you gain 16 armour and can go face for 26, 56 if you grab a 1 mana weapon with windfury from Ignis. Doable as soon as T7.

I am so glad astalor is rotating out in a couple of months.

Man if all the matches were like that paladin I would play hearthstone all day

without brann, astalor does a total of 16 damage (14+2). With brann, he now does 114 (2+14(8))..... Not broken at all

Conspiracy theory. They make classes busted to give people F.O.M.O for the mini set and already know how to Nerf the cards. Like you give paladin wind fury and Bran cost less than Odin....

Increase the mana cost probably. It becomes a higher risk dead turn, and more time for the opponent to set up their own win conditions or find a way to hand disrupt Brann.

I really wish they would switch the battlecries and manathirsts on the astalors, and make the third "battlecry: deal seven. Manathirst 10: deal 7", so that he is capped at 21 with brann and you never generate more than one. Im so tired of astalor prior to the miniset and this is exhausting

I think it should be changed to "your first battlecry each turn.." and even then It's probably not enough. But at the very least that should be the start.

First off, that card text is terrible it includes a lot of phrases that just don't fit the usual Hearthstone text. Secondly, why not just have it be "For the rest of the game, the Battlecry of the first minion each turn triggers twice"?

Honestly, if they really ran out of ideas and everything just needs to be super broken and stupid, they shouldn't even have minisets so it gives them more time to think.

They just don't care about balance anymore and that's supposed to be the appeal of the new cards nowadays lmao

@@sensei470 Because its Manathirst is also a Battlecry. It's a Battlecry that gets powered up with Manathirst. Yes, it's stupid. Yes, people have been saying for literal ages that the simple fix to Astalor would be to simply make that effect a Manathirst and not Battlecry. HS devs have consistently ignored these please and kept Astalor as is.

Too bad they can't learn from past mistakes and make the game healthier and more fun... Earlier today I faced the warrior with the Astalor bs, only to then queue into a Druid that killed me on turn 4. That was enough for me.

The guy who got the idea of making a brann, exclusive for warrior, that that last for an entire game, should get fired.. worst idea ever. Much rather see em get creative instead. Like instead of affecting battlecry (like the old brann) maybe affect "finale"?

Yeah, the new Brann with Astalar is just a stupid combo. Even someone stupid can win with that. So it's not funny, not enjoyable.

This card is just a shame, because it is too strong, has nothing of a warrior's card and steals the specialty of the Shaman, until now a specialist in the "War Cry". Soon each class will be able to do what the other does and there will no longer be any specialties.

Any card that says "for the rest of game" has more often than not created huge problems and forced a very linear way to play. With little or no counter play. The effect is just as bad a quests was and a proof of poor and lazy design.

The new Brann is a perfect example of blizzard not caring about the state of the game and all about the money they can squeeze out of hs players.

The thing that sucks is that Bran will be Nerfed and in a few months Astalos is rotating. If Astalor was band if Bran was in your deck warrior wouldn't feel qs broken.

I’m fairly certain that 8 mana astalor’s effect only does 21 damage with brann. Manathirst is not part of the battlecry, and therefore does not get doubled by brann. I think that’s how it worked in the time when original brann was in core.

@@chadgamer6942 You're right, in its current form, where it says "Deal 14 damage instead", it would get affected by Brann, since the manathirst would, in a sense, buff the battlecry. But on release, it read as "Manathirst(10): Deal 8 more", and with THAT wording, the manathirst did not get affected by brann.

No, it does 28. At 23:48 you can see that it deals 28 damage.

@@eamk887 Yeah, it does do 28 now, my point is that it previously would only do 24(it was 8+8 back then). Either way, it's a lot of damage.

This card should cost 50 mana and be reduced by every armor you get. Total bullshit.

Please talk to Blizzard and get them to remove Astalor. It was already an overpowered BS card. Now, with the new Brann, it’s a cheaper and easier to achieve C’Thun.

This mini-set is shockingly bad.

It sucks, buuuut Its still more fun then the current snap meta. Coming from a player who enjoys the hell out of both games
