Not just catching early, doctors need to take people seriously, THAT alone could save lives

So true it's sad there job is to listen to patients and often time we are dismissed

This is why if you don't feel right (you know when your body doesn't feel normal) you tell the doctor you want a scan, not ask them, and if they wont go to another GP. A lot of times they'll (doctors) just go through the motions

5th sept 2014 stage 4 lung cancer took my husband away. Only sign was upper back pain. 3 months later from diagnosis was the end . The cancer had gone to his brain. Lung Cancer Scans are a Needed

I'm sorry your going through this but I think your a very brave young woman and speaking out about your disease is so brave of you.

I am so sorry that you have been ignored this long, I too was ignored with a tumor....doctors need to take it seriously from the get go.

Exactly same thing happened to me, spread to my spine and neck. I asked since Jan for a scan, only got one after coughing up blood in hospital in April.

I have a 8mm ground glass nodule. It didn’t show up as cancer on the pet scan thank goodness, and I will be having another scan I have never smoked. Put the price up to £30 a pack for 20 that will stop people smoking.

If her doc had done his job the outcome would not have been as bad

The drs in the uk , 2023 , the first dr (family dr) sent me for xrays and all fine , I had punomia and it wasnt spotted until I got a CT scan with contrast, my husband passed due to lung cancer so I know the signs but no I'm just paranoid, then 3 weeks ago finally a dr at the hospital got me a CT scan with contrast and fluid on the lungs was diagnosed, I'm not to take any medication, just breath it out , which I've done the best I can and still wheezing and now coughing up blood, onto of all the different coloured phlegm. I'm getting frustrated now , and I had to ask for pain relief, well u would think I asked for the crown jewels and ofcourse I'm irate I'm in pain , 1 dr tried to say , I shouldn't be getting pain , because there are no pain receptors 🤷‍♀️🤔 so I said the pain van radiate , but I'm no dr , just the patient, I see this video was made a year ago , I hope this young lady is still ok , my husband passed away within 9 months and 9 days from diagnoses , after 30 years together and the dr is wondering why I was ( shouting at him, no I wasnt shouting because I cant for coughing and wheezing and the pain is becoming unbearable, Thank you for sharing your journey and I hope and pray u r still with your beautiful husband and family , sending healing prayers and strength to everyone. Still have not been tested yet I'm in UK, my mom and nan have both had cancer. There's history.

I've had back pain for 8 years, and was diagnosed with COPD. I still wish they would scan my back.

Please keep asking your Dr for a scan of your lungs. My Dr refused me every time I asked yet abused me for not having covid jab. My pain specialist also refused but my beautiful daughter told Dr he would be reported & he then gave me a scan & found I have lung cancer. I’m just sad for my daughter now. Angry that Drs would rather jab than treat pain & serious issues. I wish you all the best.

😢 i knew someone qith lung cancer and dies from it. But it was upper back and shoulder pain first

I wish she had mentioned what kind of scan she got. I’m so glad someone finally helped her, but these doctors are not checking patients thoroughly anymore. I’m having the same problem. They won’t take any X-rays or scans. Just check my blood or treat me for asthma or pain meds for my back pain.

I had a PET scan. It lights up if cancer is present in the body.

I have painful events just for around ten minutes mostly in the nights only my long bones r involved n i see some bumpy swelling here n there one at a time which pains a lot for a few mins leaving behind a sweeling in the surrounding area which becomes tender ...so I have bumpy swellings which r not lypoma like ..then what r they?

My late partner,died at 39. Misdiagnosed with "double sciatica" by our G.P. also saw a chiropractor for back pain and physiotherapist. Rushed to hospital after last chiro appointment,as was non responsive and staring blankly. Finally diagnosed with lung cancer(not a smoker) liason on the lung from T.B. as a kid. Died 10 days later. Fortunately at that stage the brain was involved. Metastatic adeno carcinoma

I had back pain for 5 days ….took medication it improved later ….still m having little bit pain on one spot rest is fine…..can it be same .

& I am now TERRIFIED 😱🤒!! feels like there's lumps in my SPINE, that's causing so much PAIN.. in the middle of my back of the spine bone, it HURTS...... I can't sleep on my back..

The doctors might still miss it even if you get screened. It happens all the time.

I've been having severe back pain in that same spot and my gp literally ignored me. After 9 months I was able to get a different gp to get me a xray and surprise. It's abnormal. I'm now waiting for my CT scan in a few weeks.

She should try ivermectin. It’s shown promise with cancer.

Dr in general don’t take women serious

I hate doctors sometimes. They belittle and don't listen to their patients.

The back pain probably means it’s in the bones.
