@cinex5114 attack its not how swiftly engages once the signal surpasses the threshold.....attack engages INSTANTLY..always and its how fast reaches the full attenuation we have set by the ratio......better definition is this...Attack is the length of time it takes a compressor to apply roughly two-thirds of the targeted amount of gain reduction.Same applies for release
