unfortunately it's because when keepsake sang this, joe sang a little too loud and you can't hear roger! but you're so right I had learned all the parts to this piece and I loved the tenor the most!

If a quartet does a song, Tim does it even better

Oh WOW! the chord on the word 'ours' generates a very low root note that isn't being sung. Incredible tuning, vowel matching, and volume balancing makes those "undertones" pop. Excellent goose bumps all over.

The double-post just kills me. Then the smackaroo overtone on the last chord. They also were the quartet that hooked me in 1992.

Tim, I sang this (the full song) in high school as my first foray into barbershop. Brings back amazing memories with some old friends.

Fantastic to hear your performance of this tag! My barbershop a cappella group at school has this song as our alumni song, and at every end-of-semester concert we invite any and all alums in the audience up on stage to sing the whole song with us. It's one of my favorites :)

Thanks for doing this. I listened to this legendary tag over and over for a long time in my teens. I thought I had isolated all the notes of the bass part. This transcription and performance shows I was correct. Maybe I do have an ear for music. Thank-you, again.

Thanks so much! I really appreciate the kind words. The audio is recorded into Logic Pro and the video is recorded using a Sony Camera (for the first year and a half, I used my iPhone for the video). Then it all gets mixed together by a good friend of mine in Adobe Premiere. There are bunch of easier video editing software programs that you can get as well. Good luck with it all!
