What he quoted in 2 Chronicles does not change in the New. But if you want New Testament, here you go. James 5:19-20 19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; 20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. Here, according to James, if a brother err’s from the truth, he is considered no more a saint but a sinner before the Lord. And that if we convert the sinner from the err of his way, we SAVE A SOUL FROM DEATH AND COVER A MULTITUDE OF SINS! You wanted New Testament, you got it. Anyone brethren who err’s from the truth of the word of God, is only living a life that is leading their soul to death. This is exactly why in Hebrews it tells us this Hebrews 10:26-27 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. The blood of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, is only effective to those with a repentant heart because for the blood to work, repentance must take place. But a person who willingly sins, there remains no more sacrifice for his sins. The blood will not cover willful sin.
