the way i interpret it is about a couple who isn’t socially approved, when you love someone so much but it’ll ruin the way people view you, because your love between each other makes people see differences, and humans don’t like differences, they always avoid them, and those two people as well try avoiding their love but fail, as their feelings are too strong “scream your name atop of every roof of my heart” i think this is a metaphor, the roofs atop of her heart being very high away from the grounds, like a pyramid of love, that they’re love beats every single thing in the city of her heart, even the reputation that she wanted to keep safe, their live is on the top and their reputation is always just below, i love this song (personal experiences don’t judge pls)

this song is so sapphic

i keep coming to this song. first time i listened to this i knew it was about her, lyrics hitted right from the heart. first time i listened to this i was in the bus then i fully understand the lyrics and i just sobbed uncontrollably under the mask. while this song kind of giving me comfort, like accepting your feelings and appreciating what you have, it's also getting my throat in knots. at class breaks, at holidays, at weekends im looking forward to once more to see her. little does she know she's the only one keeps coming to my mind while i mutter this song. or im aching for the day we'll no longer see each other (because of collages). there is a lot i wanna say also about the reasons and pros and cons of letting her know or not but it's gonna become so long. what i believe from the heart is even if she only sees me as a best friend, im gonna continue to value her and the intimacy we have. im feeling utterly in peace even when i just stand next to her, be alone with her or catching her gaze, going to her near in crowd - talking about literally anything or without saying a word, it doesn't matter - it doesn't matter, if there is her smile (doesnt have to be tho i'll be listening at any circumstances) it doesn't matter, if we both enjoy our company. or that's what i like to think.
