I’ve never seen moose herd up where I’m from you almost never see more then two at a time congrats on your hunt tho I love hunting moose I’m lucky enough to be able to hunt moose every year 🇺🇸👍

Its kind of appropriate that Casey and Logan are the only ones to be able to see that first shot. Brothers following in a father's tradition. Maybe the world doesn't deserve that moment.

I was thinking the same thing. But you put it to words perfectly. Congrats guys. I appreciate how hard you work at this.

You made the right choice in sticking to your "guns" and using your bow but you owe your buddy big time for letting you know about that bull. What a monster plus being able to back the truck up to it. It still would have been worth it if you had to pack him out of the back country but it would have been brutal.

I drew a once in a lifetime bighorn sheep tag in my home state of Washington this year. Filled the tag on 3rd day of the hunt. Such a great experience!

Casey, the Firebull is what drew me to Hushin, but what’s kept me watching is definitely you. Your hunt with your daughter and the 400” bull, this moose, and your amazing personality are the kind of things that makes hunting camp so special. It makes me think back to my experiences in Hunting camp when I was growing up. Sadly, my hunting camp dwindles every year since most of the guys are my dads age and can’t hunt as much or nearly as hard as they used to. I feel like I get to experience a piece of that again everytime I watch you on a hunt, and can’t wait to share those moments with my children in the future. Thank you for being you.

The shiras moose is he smallest of North Americas subspecies. The Alaskan moose are even bigger. But that is a giant shiras I live in Idaho and have never seen one that big. I’ve seen good ones but not like that.

I grew up in northern Idaho, lived there 30 yrs, moved to TN in 2008, and I miss Idaho every day, especially around hunting season, just not the same opportunities here, definitely not the freedom to just get in the truck, find a dirt Rd and get in the woods. Can't do that here, plus not the same opportunities for big game, really hard here unless you own a big piece of land or pay to lease something. I put every year for a moose tag since I could legally hunt up there, never drew one. My good friend did though, the year before I moved, and we took a giant on our first hunt out, 53 inches wide! Great experience and great parting gift to be a part of before I moved! Great hunt guys, awesome Bull!

Congratulations on a awesome bull and an amazing representation of a Idaho bull. Me and my family have a ranch just down the road from the reservoir and have been watching those moose and plenty others for the last couple years and I can definitely say you shot one of the biggest bulls I’ve seen and had the pleasure of watching grow in this unit.

Congrats Casey. A true once in a lifetime hunt, and who better to share it with than your Bro. The time line interviews you do are on point. They show your true, raw emotions, and show how much you care about this hunt, but more importantly you wanting to follow in the path your dad first walked. I live here in NZ, and follow your hunts. That’s epic in every way Casey. So happy for you that you got to get a moose 🫎 with your bow 🙏 like your Dad years ago. My youngest brother went mule deer 🦌 hunting in Idaho a few weeks back and didn’t see a buck but saw 12 moose 🫎 the first day.

What a giant moose! We can see the placement of that first shot was perfect. You can see the geyser it opened dripping off the fletching. To only get to see the follow up of another perfect shot at 80 yards was worth it! Great effort and great shots make for great rewards!

Sitting in my deer camp after 2.5 days of rain. Pre-rut through first phase November rut. Congratulations Casey! This old Buckeye had the pleasure of doing 3 DIY elk hunts in the N Panhandle. How was the elk hunting in the panhandle? I didn’t get to go this year but next year I’ll be up there. Last year we got hit with a full moon and 70 degree weather

I drew mine in Utah years ago and it was one of the best hunts I ever had. The meat when butchering felt tough and stringy but when I cooked it it was amazing and tender.

Awesome video, my uncle took 5 moose in Alaska over the years. Loved eating the meat he brought back. He took three with a bow, the other two with his Marlin 45-70. I'm getting back into archery, but, as a Midwesterner, I don't think I'll ever go moose hunting. The fact you did this in the lower 48 in your home state makes it even cooler.

Not sure where that is, but it looks similar to the reservoir that was just down the road from where I grew up hunting mule deer as a kid. There was almost always a big bull moose thst hung around the flats of the reservoir thst I wondered if anyone would take it. Might have been him!

What a beautiful animal, I’d be so thankful to harvest such a beast. Congratulations on a successful hunt.

Good Job Casey. Great bull. I know the feeling with video. I recorded my father in law shoot a 409 bull elk and got the kill shot on video only to rewind the kill shot to look at the antlers and never forwarded the film on a HI-8 sony camera from 2007 so I later filmed over the kill shot of a giant bull elk hunt. It was before digital cameras were out... so that does suck... but its only the cherry on top, anyway. You took home and got the rest of the footage that makes a great story. Congrats on your once in a lifetime moose and thanks for sharing.

I’m from north Idaho and know exactly where this is . I’ve been putting in for moose permits in that unit for years now but with no point system here, it’s truly luck of the draw. Maybe next year.
