Watch 'Dropped: Surviving Amongst Predators - Complete Season' here: • Dropped: Surviving Amo...
Winter is coming and the Keefer Brothers are embarking on a journey to the Alaskan tundra. They are dropped with literally nothing but the clothes on their back and a sidearm to try and thwart any predators. They want provisions? They will have to work for them as supply caches have been placed at predetermined locations along their route. The Keefers will have to put their skills as hunters, woodsmen and anglers to full use as they try to escape the treacherous terrain of Alaska and float downriver to their pick-up point.
Set in some of the most desolate, dangerous, and breathtaking places on earth, every season of Dropped focuses on one central idea: Be alive.

@@kyleharper4458Yeah, I get the questioning. Legally, it was 100% legit. The only question would be ethicality, and morality. Considering the facts: I mean it was at like 10yds, hiding....and it 100% knew the brothers were there, and knew they were coming it's way. It had every opportunity to get out of Dodge...but it didn't. Why? It instead laid in wait, along their route of travel. Why?? With it being a lone wolf, there's a good possibility it was desperately hungry. As wolves are far and away the most effective as pack hunters. But regardless, there's no denying that wolves are equipped to be absolute killing machines, and there are well documented wolf killings of people in Alaska for centuries. And being that far back in the bush, even with a sat phone, rescue is deadly far away...especially with stormy weather. If your rescue flight can't fly, you're not getting rescued. So, I'm sorry, but I wouldn't have waited very long at all either to figure out what it's intentions were....I think the fact it didn't want to avoid contact with a group of humans, is extremely suspect.

This is meant to entertain, inform and yes… to sell products. Like any show it’s sponsored and wants to sell you gear. But it’s also ‘over-explained’ bc they want to bring in new people to hunting, fishing, camping, etc. Yes, the goal is to have more people to sell to, but imho bringing anyone away from the TV and out their front door to have an adventure outside is a good thing these days.

Having a cameraman with them most of the way ensured a safe trip. This was a hunting/fishing adventure that most sportsman would count themselves lucky to have. These guys were skilled, but they were given everything they needed and more. I've hunted the Brooks Range and the north Arctic slope near the Kavik River and got by with very little. They never had to endure the mosquitoes and noseeums Alaska has to offer during this trip. Not sure why they didn't shoot the bear or stop and put a hunt on that bull moose, guess they were bound by a deadline of extraction. I guess 3 weeks is a while if you're not used to the cold.

NO. This is NOT a great show. If you were actually stranded. You WOULD NOT. Have any of this gear. How about a show that actually shows what TRUE survival is and not a average day of hunting in Alaska is like on this show. "Hey next hunting trip lets put all of our gear in different areas and act like its a survival show" yeah right. This is shite.

I'd like to know why they packed out the legs from the knees down. Also wonder why they packed out the ribs, head, antlers and hide if this was truly a survival situation. I've lived in, hunted and fished in Alaska since 1967 and have packed out my share of meat and trophy, but there was always a raft, boat or plane to take such things to within reasonable packing distance. if it was a truly survival situation I would have reduced the load to what was needed for survival and not a pound more.

At the end of the day its a tv show they have a camera man and 100% have medical staff and helicopters etc. on stand by ofc its “reality tv” they not out there alone recording themselves surviving like the wolf dissapeared after killing it they carried it off and never seen it again for cryin out loud it went somewhere producers and stuff probably took it off “set” ofc its not gonna be perfectly realistic and they also said they aren’t professionals at the survival stuff they are just regular basic hunters so they arent gonna be the most experienced and probably wont know everything about surviving especially in Alaska

It's TV. Not actual survival.. that's why they're getting gear handed to them. And who the hell is gonna follow game laws if it was survival. If you're starving you aren't gonna try to kill a caribeau right there at you. Please. If this was a real survival situation any and all laws are void in my book. In trying to survive. Damn the laws

So you did ten miles a day in a canoe... seems sedate enough. We've been made to travel 20, sometimes 25 miles on foot with full gear in the Marine Corps. It takes all day, and really messes with your feet, shins, lower back and mineral levels in your blood. Hurts, but it's doable. Oorrah... They could average 3-and-a-third miles per day to finish 100 miles in 30 days, which would be mighty slow. Plenty of time, just need to adjust for the time allotted between each cache.
