Agreed. It was a simple thing they had her do, but it made her feel like she really contributed to the rescue effort. More than just calling and waiting. She was involved in helping to save that bird and it made her feel special and like she can do special things.

Aww, what a wonderful person! It's heroic to wait with the duck for 2 hours for the rescue to come! It's also amazing of you guys to drive 2 hours to rescue a duck, some people wouldn't feel it's worth the petrol money. Thanks to everyone involved.

I had a duck named Pebbles. She was a New York City duck 🦆 and I loved🐾 her . She used to sit in class with me. Everyone loved her❤️💕

*A Standing Ovation* to that girl for waiting 2 hours for help to arrive...as the bite mark suggest...the duck would have gotten killed if she just called you guys and left the place....but the brave girl choose to stay...bravo 👏👏👏👏

I'd hazard a guess it was a dog or dogs. Housecats don't go after prey that big. And no self--respecting wild predator lets caught prey get away, it's too hard to catch it and they miss so often, so they learn early as they practice, to hang on tightly when they succeed. So probably a dog. It could have been a car but they didn't really show the injuries.

Possibly a dog. Since a cat normally wouldn't get a bite that large. It looks as if the dog had her in its mouth then dropped her or didn't kill her. Like the dog was playing as if she was a squeak toy.

Thank you to the young lady who called and waited with the duck. Poor Daizy, I'm glad she made a full recovery. My sister has ducks and chickens, she loves them. She says each of them have a personality all their own. Thank you Eldad and Loreta!

Oh my goodness I love Muscovy Ducks! They are some of the sweetest temperamental ducks. The males are too heavy to fly and have huge red "warty" looking growths on their faces, while the females are small enough to fly and have smaller pinkish-red flesh around their eyes. The males make a cute huffing or hissing sound when they are happy and the females make a cute little trilling noise. They are also known to "wag" their tails when they are happy. Daizy is a lucky, pretty girl!

They are very special. How can someone do that to any animal? I'm so glad she was saved and found a loving home.

Eldad, you and Loretta are so awesome. This rescue hit home to me because my Dad had a special place in his heart for Ducks and Geese ... and they returned that love. When he was home he would have a herd of ducks and geese waddling along beside him.

I love Loretta, she is always focused on getting these wonderful creatures safe and she is so loving while doing it. Her number one priority is getting the injured to the vet and these creatures all seem to gravitate towards her, they sense the true heart she has.
