hey bud, great install. I had a question about using this system and installing the compressor in the bed of the truck using expeditions essentials bedside mount. Any suggestions on where to add the manifold though? There might not be enough room in the compartment itself so I was thinking of adding it to the inside of my camper shell.

Nice clean setup as it looks factory. However, you can greatly improve the fill rate by ditching the compressor and just use a 10 lb CO2 bottle. It is much quicker for fill rate and another benefit is you can use the CO2 bot5le to power air tools!!

I’ve had many customers switch from CO2 tank to wifey air. The reason for the switch was unlimited air, less cargo space taken up by bulky tanks and it’s only 5 - 6 minutes to air up all 4 tires which isn’t that bad. Electric tools is a good option if you need to bring power tools along. They did the pros and cons for both systems and wifey air was their choice. CO2 might be the fastest but Wifey air is more convenient.

If I wanted to use the ARB 1 gallon air tank, where would you place the manifold? After the tank, or between compressor and tank? Great video!

I would put a splitter after the tank, one for a quick connect, the other to the wifey manifold

Hi I just got my 🌮 about a week ago and looking at KZread videos on how to mod it. I see KZreadrs put the extra fuse box for a clean look with the power wires where you put air compressor. I seen other KZreadrs put the air compressors on the passenger side by the air filter, would you setup fit there?

Should the top of the sliding valve be capped off? I'm currently in the process of putting mines together but I'm getting air through the top of the sliding valve when it's closed.

I had this kit installed in my tundra and just tried to use it for the first time and when I turn the lever air just comes out of the blue valve on top of the manifold. Do you know what might cause this or how to fix it? The pressure gauge shows pressure for a split second as I’m turning the lever and then once it’s fully turned on the pressure gauge drops to zero and air just comes out of the blue valve on top of the manifold.

Slide the blue valve down. When it is up it releases air so you can air down. If it doesn’t work, send me a picture of the setup on Instagram @sponsoredbywifey or email at sponsoredbywifey@gmail.com

Think it'll make a noticeable difference if i go with 1/4" hose instead of 3/8"? I had already bought the hose and may not be able to return at this point.

1/4 is pretty small. It will work but might take longer to air up or down. Do you have the correct size fittings?

Coming in here a year late but considering that the valve stem and schrader valves are more constricted than 1/4" it wouldn't make much difference if you went with 3/8 over 1/4. You'd just have more volume in your lines with 3/8", correct?

What is the 8mm tubing for, if your main system lines use 3/8 tubing?

  • @sponsoredbywifey

I tried using the 3/8 tubing for the lines to the wheels but it was too bulky and not as flexible. For me, I just prefer the 8mm. My latest kit is back to 8mm for all hoses now that I have a fitting that allows for it. Anybody can use whatever size hoses they prefer. Just be sure to get the correct fittings.
