    Taylor--so envious of your riding skills and connections to get to ride KRJR's 500GP bike. Do you wish that you had been racing in that era? My "connection" to Kenny is I know where he lives these days! He has NOTHING to do with motorbikes at all and he's happy that his children don't ride, either. He's really a nice guy, too.

    Depends on the rider and track I suppose he only just went out on it so was getting used to it...the 500 would probably struggle abit I think but it wouldnt be far off I think the last Nsr that Rossi rode was 190hp the superstock BMW is maybe 210 /220 ish and a tad heavier than a 500 so it would be close but stocker I would think is easier to ride on the limit and more user friendly!!! Interesting comparison 🤔 I know which one I prefer though and that would be the 500 all day long what a beautiful bike and the sound is just 👌 awesome

  • @brianpeterson9290

    @brianpeterson9290

    3 жыл бұрын

    Out of curiosity I looked up a few #s, not really apples-to-apples but gives an idea. Easiest to use Jerez because everybody goes there and the track hasn't changed. MotoGP lap record: 1:38.0 (2019); WSBK lap record 1:38.2 (2019); Stock 1000 (SBK) pole lap: 1:42.1 (2017) Kenny Roberts Jr qualifying time on this bike: 1:43.6 (2000). Also: That 500 time is with tire technology from 21 years ago...it'd be interesting to see what difference modern race rubber would make.

    One of the main reasons Grand Prix changed to 4 stroke apart from end of development on 2 strokes was that the world superbikes was lapping just as quick as Grand Prix bikes in the late 90s so I would think his bsb bike would be far superior
