The 2 days was because of the road closure south of Dawson City...we actually made the 106 miles in one day lol...was beautiful for sure! Thank you so much, Moose!! 🤗💜🙏🏻

I have the utmost respect and admiration for you two riding through over 100 miles of gravel. What an epic trip! A hard pass on the sour toe challenge. 😂

Riding a 100 miles stretch of a gravel road is a pain in the ass, but you both survived. I am impressed how quickly Tommy became a good friend to that officer there. Pain in the arse is right, Gregor! I'm just thankful we didn't puncture any tires nor get a rock stuck in my belt!! The strong drink at the end was a mummified toe (google Sourtoe cocktail) in an alcoholic drink that is at least 40 percent alcohol...to kill the germs, I guess, lol! Hope your week is going well! 💜🤗

Oh, I do love your sense of humor! I have kept that mount as a momento and love to show it off...it's a great story! And yes, with the weather they get, it is just so hard to keep those roads maintained. Heck, they aren't even open year round! The elements are TOUGH there!

TC, we also had an equally long section of rough gravel on the Alcan Highway on our way TO Alaska...you just can't escape it! Unless, you are taking a cruise to get to Alaska or flying there!!

Know what that’s like traveling on dirt roads, we had the same experience last June on going to the sun road in Montana as they were doing construction & had ripped up the pavement to nothing! Large rocks & potholes to avoid, plus the dust was not pleasant as I’m a little ocd about keeping my bike clean! Hence we decided definitely not going to return back that way so took another route back to St Mary’s & then onto the border at Caraway. American border guard was great mainly interested in talking about the bike. A great day was had even thou it was a long one & really windy too. Regards Stephen & Pauline Alberta Canada.

Riding To The Sun Road is on our bucket list! Good for you! We had some construction in Montana last summer on our way to Alaska...near Glacier...another bucket list item. Anyway, it was rough there too...It just so happened the construction vehicle jumped in between TommyG and me as I was behind him. The operator was spraying the road with an oil and water mixture...What a mess to my Spyder...Had to wash it as it dried a mess. We didn't come back that way either lol...Nice to "meet" you Stephen and Pauline! Alberta is beautiful!! Hope our wheels cross paths! Yes, the border guards love to talk about the bikes! Yep! I was as careful as I could be! Not a lot of choice when riding to Alaska, lol! This was a different road on our return trip than we took getting to Alasks (the Alcan)...both had plenty of gravel to traverse! I was grateful to NOT have a rock get stuck in the belt. 🙏🏻💜🤗

Wish I could have done that road when we were up there. It had fresh snow and a fellow rider had said he dumped it twice on his GS. That deep gravel is no joke.

I hope you get to go back and do it!🙏 And we were sad that we didn't make it to the Arctic Circle...oh well, I'm grateful for what we did accomplish...AND...perhaps it wasn't meant to be so that I could be near the Level 1 trauma center in South Dakota when I had my brain bleed. Good morning! ☀️. Those roads were brutal 😳. I wonder if the engineers and designers at BRP were thinking about roads like that when they designed the suspension. They are Canadian, after all. You mentioned it felt like the front wheels were fighting each other for control, did it ever feel like you were not in control of the steering? I have a mechanical background so this really interests me. 😊. Thanks for sharing another piece of your adventure.

I never felt not in control, but then again, I adjusted my speed so that I could remain in control...I have nothing down here in the lower 48 I can compare this to and I've ridden in every other state down here. Well, yes, and you just never know. Going TO Alaska, there was a couple hundred miles of gravel from Haines Junction, YT to Tok, Alaska...we thought this would be better for the return trip, but perhaps not...🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Never forget when I was a kid, wetook a fishing trip in Canada and it was 100 miles of just gravel road to get to the place where we were going to fish I thought that was insane. I guess that’s pretty common up there. I know you want to go slow too, so you don’t chip up the paint.

Oh wow! What province was that? We expected the gravel in the Yukon and Alaska, just not that much...I wasn't really concerned about chipping paint, but the Spyders are belt driven...it's a long belt...and I sure didn't want to mess up my belt. We had tools and tire repair stuff but I sure didn't have an extra belt with me...Also, the Spyders have only a 4 inch ground clearance and some of those rocks were that big...it's a whole different world up there...thanks for sharing your Canadian story! 💜🙏🏻

Even the broken camera mount was on a purple cushion (I think)! ✌️😂

Beautiful for sure! Are you planning on taking your street bike? Harley? Road Glide? It can be done, but wouldn't recommend it. TommyG did it on his Ultra Limited, but it wasn't easy. We were grateful not to have a flat or other mechanical issues. Take your plug kit, compressor, jump pack, bear spray and mosquitoe repellant!! Hope you have a great riding season! 🤗🙏💜

Well, we really didn't have much choice...on our way to Alaska, the Alcan had several hundred miles of gravel for us...we thought this would be better...I don't know...but there aren't a lot of choices if you look at a map. Hey there, Purple, thanks for posting your video of this section of your trip. We were going to try it until we heard about the road closures getting back down to Whitehorse. We didn’t want to risk getting hung up in Dawson City for an extended period of time. Again, well done on the video!

ABSOLUTELY! It can be done on a street bike but would have been so much better on an ADV bike! Hope you have the opportunity to do it some day!! 💜🤗🙏🏻

KSmooth! So, we started with pics and then worked with an artist on Fiverr...had a contract for unlimited revisions. Then, we wait for Sticker Mule to have a sale...they have them every month...you can get 50, 3x3 inch stickers for $29 with free shipping. Occasionally, the stickers are cheaper. Also, the more you buy, the cheaper they become. They are very nice stickers! I think they are a big help for my channel growth. We travel a lot and I love to give them out...folks like receiving them. Also, sometimes we hand out magnets AND we also have special stickers we give to Veterans and LEO's. Welllllll, I think I have to agree with the border guard on that one...except for 5 miles from Dawson City ....oh AND south of Dawson City on the way to Whitehorse...I need to do a video on that one...the pilot truck actually left us to fend for ourselves and there was "construction" in both lanes so we had no idea where to go. At one point there was a grader to my left and a pile of dirt and another grader in front of me and a guard rail to my right...twas an interesting moment, lol. 💜🙏🤗😂
