I always tell my clients if there is more than an inch of new growth its going to have to be applied as a platinum card to get an even lift. I think that would’ve given a much more even look. Once the toner fades those bands are going to show.

i believe a 2nd bleach was needed on the mid-lenghts. i have the same case in my salon and she also comes in after 60-65 days. I have the same orange on the mid-lenghts and when my cliend refuses to do extra bleach i have a little mess to deal with. A nice solution to this problem are the blond me toners. I use blond me ice toner at the roots with 2% peroxide and blondme steel toner with 2% peroxide on the mid lenghs. I apply first ice then steel. i do visual check and usually hair is ready and even at10-12 min. i only go to the edges the last minute. Sometimes it's easier to add to the toner mixture blond me keratin restore treatment. It s like the second face of olaplex and keep the toner from adding grey pigments fast.

Isn't that the opposite order to dyeing white (after bleach)? Where roots are last, due to head heat changing color?

Okay I have to say after reading the comments before watching the video I was thinking the bangs would be a disaster since they all made it sound so bad but let me tell you I spent a few years training new stylists on hair cutting so I’ve seen BAD let me tell you... and girl you did so GOOD I know you’ve said before cutting is not your strong point but you did great & lots of point cutting/ texturing is key on the bangs! You did good please don’t let these people on here make you feel otherwise !!! just remember there are people like myself that love and support you & extremely happy that you take the time to make content for us! I bet the next session will get there. As for the damage it was the best route to save the integrity of her hair bc what I’ve seen wasn’t bad but needed to be handled with care. And she did just that. 👍 just a suggestion, the Dyson hair dryer is great for bleached hair! And it’s commercial grade too! And the cold shot after the heat makes dull blondes shine. It’s pricey but you won’t need another. I’ve had mine for 5 yrs now. Hope you try it. Oh and I use the second setting for heat. And low setting with heat protectant for hot irons.

Do your hands not get affected by the bleach doing your bleach wash? I'm in cosmetology school and if I even get lightener on my hand a little, even if it's already been oxidized, my skin starts burning. I do have really sensitive skin though!

Your best bet is to just use gloves while washing with it. I use gloves when rinsing out color prior to shampooing. It may suck and feel as if you aren't getting down to the roots when washing enough but to me it's worth it to prevent staining.

Hi! I'm assuming you're a licensed cosmetologist by the knowledge that you have. If so, why are you spending your time trolling other cosmetologists instead of lifting them up? If you want to discuss something "not being professional", evaluate yourself and the way you are talking to others on social media. If you have an opinion, awesome! But don't be rude. Use constructive criticism in a helpful way, instead of making someone feel less of themselves. No harm here, just a friendly reminder to be kind.
