I'm not a hairstylist, but I've been highlighting my hair for over 30 years paying $$$, and have never ever had a colorist pay so much attention to detail to my hair except one that if course moved to Austin. Hopefully I can find one as talented as you in the Houston area. Thank you!

Jamie I’m so glad you repeat how crucial those detail foils are! It truly does make all the difference! Even if you go and cover the blonde with Vivids, it still makes ALL the difference that I wish more stylists would take the time to work on. I’ve been to stylists where I actually mentioned it, especially around the hairline, and especially when you have an even darker base, you know...it’s like a black hole!🤦🏻‍♀️

Georgous results! These are brillant techniques that flow together seemlessly. You clearly explained many important points in the process & to consider the client's experience. I agree, when extra attention to detail is focused on the full hairline, it adds tremendous value to the finished look & extends time between a client's visits. I'm intreged by your backwards foil technique, back combing remaining hair to allow short lift time giving it a boost to grab toner & creating varied intensity on shadow root with brief exposure on money pieces. Really appreciate you taking your time to share your system of creating this beautiful blonde color with a luxorious glow! Wishing you abundant Blessings! Thank you!

Wow, I am 40 with naturally dark brown hair which I have bleach highlights through. I am struggling as I get older with covering the grey that's in the hair that isn't highlighted. No one has ever suggested a root smudge in my life! It is only in the last year someone suggested a toner to get a more blended look but this, of course, does not change the grey. It is also fascinating see you be so maticulous about the hair line. I have a cow's lick (not sure if it's called that in the U.S) and not one hairdresser seems to be able to get it to the root. Your technique looks spot on!! Thank you so much, I will be showing your video to them on my next visit! Caroline, Surrey, UK

Awesome video! I search and search for tutorials that actually show you step by step instructions on hair that had root growth and surprisingly there isn’t very many detailed videos out there! You did awesome on telling how long it takes, if you feel awkward during the process and very detailed instructions that I truly appreciate. I’m doing my hair in a little bit and have 5 inch root growth (natural is a level 5-6 and ends are 10) and I need to break up the blonde and blend the roots without making it to dark. Thanks again! Can you post one for doing hair at home on yourself? That is something most women want and yet another hard video to find on KZread. Keep up the awesome work!

Awesome video as usual! I would love for you to make a video on the most polite way to "fire" a client. Clients that are not happy with your work but still come back time and again, or you just don't meld as a client / hairstylist relationship. Your so graceful with your words, is there a good way to say "Hey, I don't want to do your hair anymore"?
