Once upon a time I may have used a rolling road but the more I see your videos, takes 1 man with correct tools to give a better performance than a rolling road .. when I get my mini complete I know whom on I will be calling to give me miles for smiles..👏

Message for Dave Humphries, happy to demonstrate to you there is more than one way to set up these carbs, if you watch ‘all’ my content, you will see that I do state the limitations, and I am not conning people. I will let others answer here if you reply to this. It is nice to meet someone who used to tune engines at the factory. Your opinion does not match my own experience. Hi Mr Dodd, great stuff as always. I love your tuning videos, and think I understand the approach: review the emissions at different profiles on the rev range, and modify the needle appropriately, after checking the ignition system is up to the mark. Do you tune twin carb installations (2 x H4s) and if so how do I contact you to arrange it? I’m in Scotland, but I’d drive down to get the benefit of your expertise… Cheers Will

Yes I do tune twin carbs, but only if new, or recently properly rebuilt, and only with either a rolling road, or a wideband gauge installed in the vehicle. I am planning on coming up to Scotland in October for a group weekend tuning.

I have fitted the champion HT lead caps on my existing spark plugs. What was the reason they caused high resistance on one for the vehicles in the video? Just wondering if I should now ditch the ones I have and just get a set of powersparks and leave as is. Thanks

The ones in the video were adding 10,000ohms of resistance into the circuit.
