got the Cloudflyer 4 a couple months ago. i run with it and go for long walks. it's my go to on fridays in the office and weekends. love it.

I have both cloudmonster and cloudsurfer. To be honest i actually prefer a bit of a firmer ride, hence i really enjoy my cloudmonster. I think i might try the newest cloudstratus 3 😁

Knowledgeable and insightful video, thanks! Would the cloudultra 2 be a good “general/daily use” shoe? Looking for an ultra comfortable weekend shoe that’ll handle anything from walking trips, city use, to work around the house.

I picked up the Cloud Vista earlier this year. What an awesome shoe for door to trail. I ran my first trail marathon in these, 4000 feet of climbing, rocky, muddy, wet, dry sandy etc. Most conditions were thrown at it. It handled them all great. The only part of me that didn't hurt at the finish line was my feet - a great all rounder. I've been enjoying the Cloud Go as a daily trainer - I'm looking forward to checking out the Cloud Stratus 3 - the Cloud Monster didn't do it for me - as a long run show - I'm currently using the Asics Noosa. Keep up the great reviews buddy.

If you were to pick what’s a good all round shoe mainly for walking, which one of these wud you choose? I’m thinking the cloudsurfer as it’s one of the On’s best shoes. Am also looking on whether the hoka Clifton 9 would be a good alternative. I have also quite wide feet. Also I usually buy a 10.5 for Nikes and I heard it’s true to size. Do u recommend going same size or sizing up? Thank you

I’ve watched a lot of running show review videos and I have to say your videos are probably the best I have seen. I currently run in the cloudsurfer and have been loving them. Do you think the cloudmonster would be a good shoe to complement them? I was thinking of using one for more moderate paced easy runs (6:50-6:30) and the other for my slower easy days (6:50-7:30) but I didn’t know if they were too similar that they would fill the same role in my rotation or not.

Thanks! I love both shoes, but I certainly enjoy the Cloudsurfer more and I honestly think it can handle everything the Cloudmonster does. If you were to have both, I would likely do slower easy days in the Surfer and moderate runs in the Monster.

Hy there . I'm have bought my first road shoe a brooks glycerin GTS . It's not bad but after that I bought the cloud ultra 2 from on for going to the trails. and must say I'm loving the cloud ultra much more even on the road .It makes my run more comfortable . Now the brooks are almost at there end and I'm thinking to change them to the cloudsurfer. Would that be a good choice? or do they have another fit . Or do you recommend another type? Hello! @DustySpiller I work in house keeping and I have some pain, because of the foot arch is comming down and I though this shoes will make the work on my feet. But I was downdering what do you recomend. I dont do the running for sport but I do in my work and a lot of walking 6 days a week. Hope you can help me 😊

Honestly, most of the On shoes will do the trick for daily use. I've had good luck with the Cloudflyer and Cloudrunner for similar use. The new Cloudeclipse (not shown in this video) could be a good option if you wanted more cushion

Would like to ask have you used the on cloudtilt before? And what are ON shoes like? Do they survive for a while

Thanks! That's the one shoe (tempo day) On doesn't really have. I would say the Cloudsurfer might be the closest but I would still prefer the Mach 5/Endo speed for faster running.

Would you recommend the cloud monster for heel pain & planter fasciitis pain while running?

I'd go with the Cloudrunner (possibly in a wide width if you need it). I only ran in the Cloudrunner a few times before I decided I liked it better for a walking/daily shoe

Hi . Need some advice . Which one should i go for between the cloudflyer 4 and the on cloud 5 ? I need a shoe for everyday use without having to tie the laces and go running once in a while . Im kind of moderately heavy in weight 85 to 90 kg . Looking for something that can give me a good cushion at the midsole as im slightly overpronated . Thanks

Can you guys give me a honest answer about the longevity of the ON shoes? (runners use and also daily use for everyday activity) The used to break way faster than asics or other brands. How has that developed?

Hi @DustySpiller I can't make my mind between the Cloudsurfers and the Cloudmonsters. I want I shoe to use almost everyday over a 4 month, half-Marathon prep, where I'll be doing ~60kms per week. It seems the Cloudsurfer is more comfortable, but the Cloudmonster is more durable.

I actually got quite a bit more mileage out of my Cloudsurfer than my Cloudmonsters.

Hey Dusty. Love the videos. I’ve been getting more and more drawn to the cloudsurfers as my next shoe, my only real worry is durability of the phase tech. Currently I’m coming up on 600km on my peg 39’s. Would you recommend the surfers as a versatile shoe that I can do some longish runs in occasionally (25-30km)? Getting 600 miles out of the surfers sounds crazy good to me

I was concerned about the durability too, but so far they're proving me wrong. I would definitely recommend the Cloudsurfer for long 25-30k runs

Hi Dusty, thanks for the video. I am comparing cloudmonster and cloudflow 5. It seems that cloudmonster provide more comfort and it has a lower heel to toe. I feel if i wear this to gym and for light run is better ?

I would actually choose the Cloudflow over the Cloudmonster. The Monster has more of a rockered forefoot vs the Flow and I personally wouldn't find it suitable for the gym. I feel like the Monster would feel too "tippy" or forward feeling for most gym movements if that makes sense?

Thank you for this great review! This is going to sound dumb, but are shoes with built in sock liners meant to be worn with or without socks?

Cloud X is designed for exactly that. I'd take a look at those first and then possibly the Cloudflow

Hi would you say the cloud surfer the most comfortable in terms of walking and standing (working 8-12 hrs) ? I own the monster and the older flyer version. My 2nd choice is the cloud runner waterproof just bec it’s on sale now at $130

The Surfer works great for that. I was just on holiday and forgot casual shoes and had to wear my Surfers everywhere. They were very comfy. I also had a pair of the older Clouds that I wore at work for years and they were great too

@@RunningWithDusty want a shoe I could feel the cushion even just walking. I never have that feeling on monster and the flyer. I do have the new balance trail more version 3 and it’s really soft (I don’t do trail running / regular running) just looking a soft in the feet

Thought of getting the cloud runner and cloud monster , but for daily use like walking at Disney or themparks in general what do you recommend? Also how is the fit length wise and narrow wise ?

Both are true to size, however the current Cloudmonsters 2 is quite wide in the forefoot. I would probably go with the Cloudrunner or the Cloud 5 before I'd go with the Monster

I've never heard of ON shoes until today while watching tv. But I have a question. Why does a low heel to toe drop help you run faster than a high heel to toe drop? I am 53 and looking for a cushion running shoe.When I do run, it's only about 3.5 miles. Any suggestions? At the present time, I have heel pain on one foot and probably from Plantar fasciitis. Which running shoes are for under pronations, neutral and over pronation? Thank you!

These are new shoes in the running scene, mostly fads with a few low ratings. You may want to check out ASICS and Saucony for a better fit for your specific needs!

Thanks! Normally I would recommend the Cloudsurfer for this, but if you feel like you need more support for flat feet, go with the Cloudflyer. I've been using my Cloudflyer for daily/walking shoes and they're great

YO! what about the CloudSwift 3? i´m between those and the Cloudsurfer. I´m not a hard core runner , I just want these new pairs to be my everyday sport shoes to do some runs/ training and some grocery shopping trips :)

Very different shoes in terms of cushion. Cloudswift is very firm and Cloudsurfer is very soft. Most people prefer the surfer

Yup, they make a great do-it-all shoe. I will say, I did some fast 200m and 400m repeats on the track with them and found them not stiff enough and slightly lacking but that's the only example.

I've been spending long days at work in the Cloudflyer and they've been great for that. The Cloudeclipse could be a good option too if you wanted a bit more cushion.

They all breathe quite well. I ran in the Cloudsurfer all summer in hot conditions with no issues.

I returned the Cloudeunner because the rubbery part around the toes deformed to an awkward point where the shoe creases when bending/ stretching. Their quality control seems pretty bad for the price

Either one could work for that purpose. The cushioning is very different in both shoes with the Surfer being very soft and the Monster being firm. I would likely make a decision based on that preference.

@@RunningWithDusty haven't used it for running so far only used it for walking in Japan. on hard ground u can feel the technology used. but on soft ground it's kinda useless for example carpets. hotel lobbies with soft carpets etc.

The only issue with the cloudsurfer is the squeaking thing. What did u do?

Cloudswift is a daily trainer for short to medium length runs and has a very firm ride. Possibly closest to the Cloudflyer but with less support

@DustySpiller Ok, thanks for your reply! I am not finding any discussion (hardly) on the Cloudgo. Between that one and the Cloudsurfer, it seems like everyone is excited about the Cloudsurfer but I haven't seen anyone excited about the Cloudgo. Maybe that should tilt me toward the Surfer.

@@allisonrovny3861 the Cloudgo is decent. The Cloudsurfer has significantly softer cushion than the Cloudgo and looks like it's easily becoming On's most popular shoe. My mom picked up a Cloudsurfer to also walk in and do short runs. She loves them.
